Yea but who reads the ToS? Seriously? I haven't seen a single one that wasn't excessively long. And often they're written in a manner that even native speakers of the language would find difficult to understand, because it's essentially a legal document. For most ToS rules where there is a clear black and white, clear-cut difference between what's allowed and what isn't, the answer is simple. Don't break the rules!
For social rules, I've always imagined they apply when people are annoyed or offended. Cursing in a friendly manner toward another person who is also cursing is kind of harmless. There's a big difference between that and telling an under-performing party member to "**** off". -

Gotta know your audience. Are you in a dungeon/town/event chatting with randoms? Probably not the best time to be dropping fbombs. Are you chatting with your own personal group of friends/FC mates where this language is acceptable? By all means, go for it.
Much like in real life, we all have the ability to say whatever we like, but you have to use common sense and your own discretion to know when and where it is appropriate to do so. -
