If you didn't like your range job you already had 4 different ones you could change to. That's more than all the healing jobs

If we're being honest here, it's WAY easier to design a dps class than literally anything else. It's not about pleasing or displeasing dps players. It's about creating gameplay that's fun and different enough from what's already out there that it feels like this needed to be a new class instead of a modification on an existing one.

What do you think people are doing right now on the forums? Giving their feedback, and some people are so disappointed that they're unsubbing. That's their right they're voting with their wallets. In 2.0 we were told they wouldn't gender lock races anymore but look at where we are now. SE took a step back and people are rightfully dissapointed and angry. It would have been a lot better if they didn't blue ball us and tell us that Viera were gender locked in paris. But they didn't and lead us along.

The issue is that this was the exact reason they gave for no healers or tanks in Stormblood. This is now going to be 2 expansions of fixing the issues from Heavensward. It's beyond a joke right now.

I agree, they should've been upfront with that one. They still could've held off the Hrothgar reveal until Tokyo.

Of course then we'd have had a month of threads about SE being biased towards females and accusations of them being SJWs or some such nonsense like that.

Realize please that SE cannot ever... EVER... win this. It's impossible.

If you feel like you no longer want to play FFXIV, stop paying for it. There are at least infinity other games out there to play. I've stopped playing FFXIV several times over the last 6 years.

Oh I have no doubt Shadowbringers will have quality content, but the thing is that when you ask for another type of content for a long time (more character customisation options in this case) and the devs manage to mess it up in the stupidest way possible it gets a little draining.

And that's only when they do address those kinds of complaints and requests, I doubt ShB will have, for example, some kind of meaningful longterm end-game content and it'll instead just have the same raid structure the game's always had with nothing really new to add aside from maybe a third version of Diadem, maybe they'll also lock weekly tomes behind it this time.

Honestly, the only reason we aren't getting a new healer is because of the sloppy balance job they did on healers (ie. WHM having no identity and SCH/AST being meta). Healers were fine around 3.4-3.5ish until Stormblood, and that's when it really hit the fan. However adding in DNC while MCH is in total disarray doesn't help either...

You don't know what they're going to do with the existing jobs.
