Why dont you use RAID FINDER?

Not necessarily. Raid finder allows anyone who meets the minimum ilvl, which can group with multiple i340s. While ilvl doesn't inherently determine skill, I prefer people using some assortment of 350 gear to push faster. Likewise, if I happen to stumble into a good party, we can hopefully knock out a handful of runs. With RF, I may never see those people again. On the flip side, bad players can be easily ejected. A Byakko specific example often has people wanting unique jobs to utilize the tank LB3 strat. If you get two Samurai in RF, well, you won't have the LB.

Basically, Party Finder offers control over the party. When I may have to run the same fight upwards or exceeding 99 times. I want to maximize my odds as much as possible.

Ya, back in Sophia EX I used it all the time for quick queues, and plus ppl usually did better there than "farm PTs".

But then come Zervan EX (or how ever spelled) no one used the darn thing.

I tried to use it for lakshmi and susano, but after 4 hours i gave up. (This was a bit later on, after i cleared it, and wanted my alt to get stuff)

Party composition only matters in savage not ex primals and byakko doesn't require a tank LB3 just perfered for times sake...

Bourne I really appreciate your input, but for me that is “thing”.. if the supposed system is not working ... because of reasons you all are saying.. then it MUST change or not? Why have a system that majority of players is not using?! .. it’s just not working at the moment.. and I think it’s important players express their reasons why .. so everyone can see

It's obvious why it isn't working. NA/EU doesn't use it but JP does. It's been stated multiple time in this thread alone already. Our players are bad on average. JP players actually freakin try, us we whine when healers do DPS.

Preferred comps usually end up meta. (1 Tank Skip Soar, Tank LB3 2nd tiger) That's just how it goes. Do you technically need it? Nah. But if it increases the success rate why wouldn't you use it? Most of the farms I see are LB3 2nd tiger/no stack classes just like most of the Zurvan EX farms I saw when he was current were 1 tank only. Doesn't mean you can't kill it with a different comp (my first clear was no tank LB3 for Byakko before people even knew you could cheese it), that's not the point but if a large percentage of the population decides x strat is easiest, they will follow that one and if RF indirectly makes that strat harder the chance of them using RF goes down.

Because if I'm gonna run the fight, I'd like to at least know the guy who can't be bothered can't keep queuing into my party.

You join my farm party and can't do the fight? I can remove and replace you. Do it in Raid Finder? We have to vote and I get a 4 hour lockout.

Also since people are mentioning it... Does the punishment for double jobs happen in Raid Finder? I know it's specifically coded to not happen if you queue without a full party into duty finder.

I used raid finder for sophia and susano. I found it useful when I only had time for a run or two and couldn't join a long term farm party. People don't use it for byakko because they all have the no dupe requirement which can't be controlled in raid finder.
