We should be getting an extreme version of this fight at some point: "Please look forward to it!" :D
Jokes aside, though, although I usually don't do a lot of end game content this is one fight I really, REALLY am looking forward to see.

I have saved some parties before with my Red Mage (raising healers and tanks, etc...)
The fight is working as intended and should not be touched
Please keep the difficulty, it's perfect.
Objectively wrong.
Bismark: need to have at least some idea of the weather and stack mechanics before going in
Ravana: need to know how to handle liberation mechanics with a coordinated team before going in
Lakshmi: closer, but still need a good knowledge of how handle vril and and pairing for Doubt.
(Admittedly haven't done Ifrit and Garuda)
RM is objectively easier than these fights. It mostly boils down to stay out of the AoEs and don't fall into the pit, and there's enough time between attacks that a death or two doesn't mean the run's over and you can recover. Plus no real enrage timer.
Has the OP provided statistics to back up the argument? Did SE released the latest census? If it did, what is the clear % for Royal Menagerie? If the clear % is lower, then a nerf is possible. But the comments from this thread and other ones with the same theme suggest the opposite: The difficulty is fine, don't lower it. And I agree. This is the final boss fight. It won't hold its punches and neither do you. Go all out.
Leave the difficulty for those that think they are all that, just remove off the MSQ and all is good. If I decide to do roulettes and it pops, I can just take the timer.
There is not a single EX that is as easy as the royal menagerie.
But, there ARE some Hard modes, and Normal modes roughly as hard as it, if not harder. (for thier iLv and time.)
I'd say the royal menagerie is somewhere around Ifrit HM in difficulty, for when it was released, but a tad bit harder than ravanaa HM when people were new. (a lot of groups couldnt clear ravana HM and kept vote abandoning when it was released.)
This is a step up from whats in the MSQ, but its not on the level of an EX yet. (unless you're severely out gearing an EX.)
