SMN & MCH buff in 4.06 on 8/8 ??

It's about time that they realize something.

SMN(and BLM, to some extent) is really in a bad spot because RDM.
MCH is really in a bad spot because BRD.

aka "there's a job that can do anything you do, and do it much better"

3.5% is utterly unacceptable.
Likewise SMN and BLM are equally atrocious.

Both of these are caused by there being only 'one' slot for mage and physical ranged. So if there's one star child, they're getting the spot.
You HAVE to bring 2 tanks, 2 healers, and basically 'have' to bring 2 physicals. The less direct competition there is for classes, the easier it is to reach at least OK representation in clear %s.

Guys come on, sustain was good and all but I do NOT want to see the only patch notes in 4:06 be:

"Re-added sustain to Summoner"

Considering it's likely a number boosting thing. Sustain is likely not happening. If you are expecting severe changes to the classes in some dream way of it being good aside from a boost in numbers? Then be prepared for disappointed.

It went from 50/50 to nearly 96/4 for Bard/Machinist!?

I know they wanted to see Savage numbers before the next major balance but WOW. That's beyond unacceptable. Each catagory has one job WAY at the bottom...

It's a bit upsetting, except if you main Paladin, at least.

I'm pretty sure that these 8% were every tick, not in total...Sustain was actually pretty useful. Its cast time was hilariously low, so you could pop it up "on the move", without losing much mobility between AoE's. On the other hand, Physick have full cast time rooting you to the ground for long enough as to make it unusable when AoE's are used in sequence. Its MP cost was also lower than Physick, so unless the pet needed heavy healing, it did save you MP AND time.

Total HP that Sustain did heal was larger than Physick, if I recall. Obviously, it healed a lot more than that for Titan (even more than if the party healer would use Physick on your Titan...but meh...Titan was not used in parties normally). Clearly I can't check it now...However, Embrace heals at lvl70 only slightly above 10% of the HP that Eos have, and both heal every 3sec. So yes, Sustain was significant as far as healing the pet goes. If the pet needed healing, that is.

Sustain was useful and should come back, but you guys really should stop blowing its usefulness out of proportion, you're sending the wrong feedback to the devs by dedicating more threads to sustain than anything else, there are many other problems, far more important problems that should be solved first.

In that post it was said that they will focus on numbers first for 4.06 and later on (4.1?) they will do deeper adjustments.

If you can't keep you pet alive without sustain you are a bad smn, I know because I never use sustain on all of 2.x and 3.x. You have to manage your pet, in my opinion I think sustain is a bad skill

Sustain does heal for 8% every tick. Back in 3.5 the Fairy had approximately 21k health. 24% of that is approximately 5.250. the Fairy healed about 2800 per embrace back then.
