I'm all for more jump puzzles, so long as they're optional. I quickly found out that my Free Company was very polarizing on their opinion of Kugane tower, and I'd rather they tie challenges like that to the Sightseeing log. Still, it was a great experience traversing the Kugane tower, one in which I hope they implement again :).
As I said above the correct way to implement this in dungeons is bonus chests involved in jump down puzzles, they prevent people from getting frustrated and discouraging people from trying again after they fail.
They could even make it a little harder than the example I gave. Add moving platforms.
Whether or not I or anyone else likes the fact of that does not change the entirely objective and completely observable fact the the clipping as awful. It's not a subjective call, the ability to stand in thin air like that is a very direct example of bad clipping as a matter of coding limitations.
Jump puzzles could, for example, jump out of the window. That's how much I like them. Come to think of it, the other puzzles should join them!
Yes to puzzles in dungeons. No to jump puzzles in dungeons. Jump puzzles are fun side things you can do, but shouldn't be something forced on someone to do because if Kugane tower has taught us anything is that they can get quite frustrating.
Oh, I know the clipping is bad. I'm all for adding jump puzzles for things like sightseeing log, or to a place that normally you would need flying to get to(locations in Yanxia and Ruby Sea come to mind), would be awesome since not everyone wants to do the sightseeing(especially from ARR since it relied on a lot of factors to complete some)
WASD movement is not jump intuitive. You can only do jump puzzles with an analog control stick.
Just to climb the mountain in the Golden Saucer you have to find the 'right spot' just to get on it in the first place, and then to jump accross things you have to back up a little and then jump forward because the game's jumping is a fixed action.
Likewise with the "rescue from the goblins" minigame in the other part of the Golden Saucer, that again has you jumping while avoiding bombs. You can't actually just jump and run, you have to stop and jump.
Eh...? I play on mouse and keyboard and I've made it to the top of the tower twice...

And because doing the Bomb Dance off the edge is funny...

I know people on controllers that can't do it... For the GS GATE, I literally race through both versions of Cliffhanger now...
I'd prefer JPs to stay out of dungeons as well. :X JPs should be a small fun side-activity - not something that can frustrate a whole party.
I'm personally OK with these being part of the sight-seeing challenges, but what if they added a small weekly (or daily?) bonus chest at the top? Might give some incentive for people to work past the frustration, and also reward those who do manage to complete it.
