Current EX Difficulty is a Correct Business Decision by SE

I have never seen an EX primal nerfed because of the fact that "clear parties" are traps that are basically learning parties where everyone is hoping for a carry. No idea what the point is with your strawman about boost pots; clear parties have ALWAYS been pretty terrible because everyone in them is convinced they're not the problem, the "crappy pugs" they get are, and when everyone in a clear party thinks that they just wipe three times and disband when they don't get their easy carry.

That may be correct but this thread isn't about subjective evaluation of a "good" game; strictly business analysis. And SE at the end of day is a publicly traded corporation (in JP anyways) accountable to stockholders and needing to generate profit.

Also, the past poster who has concerns with the math did not take into account that SE already captured their lumpsum Xpac money once that person bought the game; the fact that they might only sub one month at a time afterwards because they speedrun content is not of great concern to SE; SE got their 40 bucks off them already.

I havnt reached Lv70 yet, so I can only mention prior stuff.

but imo, the "propper Difficulty" should be akin to Sophia EX/A9S/Ifrit HM/Garuda HM/Titan HM. (And I mean for when they were released, as Ifrit HM cant 1shot the entire party with eruption anymore.)

There should be something semi challenging for the people who arent quite as good, to try and achieve.
Then right after, the 2nd EX primal should be harder, but essentially the pinnacle of what that player could ever achieve, if they played the best they can.

for Savage,
A9S is a good introduction, that feels like an EX, and also decent for new players who want to attempt savage, but wont ever get past the 2nd floor.
A10S, is semi harder than A9S, and a good design.
A11S is where you start to see content that requires the best players, even if its still on the easier side for them.
A12S... is terrible.
Its roughly equal in skill requirement to A11S, to some more and less.
It should be more akin to the 3.0 difficulty of A4S.
The final battle should always be the hardest. Something even the best struggle with.

Hopefully for Omega, O1S-O3S is roughly equal to A9S-A11S.
But we also know another harder savage mode is comming out, with one battle.
Hopefully its the 4th floor, and more akin to 3.0 A4S in difficulty.

There is no profit in content for the 1%. If a company wants their game to succeed they'll design content most players can enjoy. But that said, theres no content in this game most players can't enjoy yet.

depends on how its done.
IMO, if you feel you can do 99% of the game, and the last 5% feels like u can do it, but it will be hard, then that final 1% always acts as a sort fo dream goal, u feel you'll one day do, even if you know you wont. Makes you feel like the game is never truely finished, and that all work you do within the 99% wont feel like a waste.

Of course if by 1% it was something like, only ppl living in the city of New York are allowed to do it, then obviously its pointless to add.

And if that 1% isnt just a slightly harder version of a fight, then people will feel they are cheated out of content.

The few people who are good enough to beat the absolute hardest possible "ideas" for fights, will feel there isnt enough, but they will still pay their share, and be done.

of course if all 100% of content is faceroll easy, then those few ppl will never even bother starting up.

I don't recall the ex primals getting hard until thordan and the ones after where getting easy too lol but the expansion just came out in sure it will get harder but you have to start some where....

I'm sure the next few things will be harder but SE is trying to becarful because they made a huge mistake with that mess we call Alexander gordias savage so they are tying not to make that mistake again or they will loose a lot of subs again...

Keep joining those farm parties and you'll realize this isn't necessarily a true statement. I've had completion locked farm parties perform much much worse than ANY of the clear parties that I joined. There are a massive amount of people who get carried and never realize it.

Unsure if sarcasm or not because of text, but I remember the beginning of 3.0. Bismarck was nearly as bad of a gate has Titan EX had been for a majority of people on Cactuar. Thordan EX was basically unkillable unless you went with a static or players that actively raided. Players with that kind of mindset. This was well before Party Finder.

Susano is easy? Hmm the Hard one is somehow trouble.
