If you're on scholar why didn't you use physick or an adlo? :V

What debate? SCH has NO AOE DAMAGE! they completely removed SCH AoE damage to dirt. Bane, the source of SCH AoE has been nerfed hard, no blizzard II, no miasma II and dark flare nerf. Did they think SMN AoE was too much and nerfed it a bit while in the process made it nonexistent for SCH? This is why making SCH and SMN after one class was a bad idea, they need to be split, they need to hve thier own things. SE is clearly unable to balance the 2 jobs being tied together.
yep had her die a few times not paying attention so I learned. Also I find it better have her on stand by healing others then herself when sustain is so good.
emergency tactics, prepull, etc, quite obvious that is not something you spam because of the MP cost and now they made it higher while lowering aetherflow? wth?
Post limit:
You do not have it for 45 seconds now and what happens when a tank moves stuff out of it? You can't recast it.
They pretty much removed AoE dps from SCH and now has me uninterested in playing, speaking of :
Or just quit playing the jobs and buy an AST potion, something I am considering for my alt now.
Kinda want drg for her too though..
Yeah, and every other healers AoE Damage wasn't exactly D A B E S T, so I don't really get why you're complaining about damage when, you're, first and foremost, a healer. Care about DPS when everyone is topped off.
How is this our fault? We simply adjust based on the functionality surrounding their game design. Why am I going to spend more time in tank stance when I won't have any need of it? Why am I going to heal using Cure when Regen is vastly superior? The devs can push back all they fancy. All it accomplishes is outright rejection from the playerbase. People have been saying for two years now Paladin needed magic mitigation yet the devs insisted otherwise. Lo and behold, Paladin falls out of use relative to Dark Knight and suddenly they slap magic mitigation on it. Healers aren't just going to suddenly use Cure and Cure II more frequently because the devs prefer that nor will tanks stay in tank stance longer unless its required.
Beating Scholar DPS, and White Mage in general, into the ground won't stop either from DPSing if the fights don't demand more healing. They'll just do less than they once did.
We still have shadowflare. It's a cooldown now but doesn't appear to have been nerfed damage wise and it instacasts which saves your swiftcast for emergency res-ing. We also do still have bane even if it's not AS powerful you can still spam those DoTs as much as you want manually during healing downtime (which this game does love!) if you want full potency and there's less to manage overall now.
Healers don't really need big powerful aoes that's the dps' job.
I thought AoE damage was getting nerfed across the board for most classes/abilities? I assumed it was because SE never liked those huge-pull, speed-run dungeons that a lot of players are so fond of. In HW they slowed us down with all those gates blocking us after two or three trash packs, now it seems like they are trying to gimp our ability to burn down big groups at once. If it's everyone getting nerfed, I don't see how it's the end of the world for SMN or SCH.
And I never used Sustain as SCH (never really played SMN, so I can't say how much they need it) but it wasn't even on my bars. One less button to worry about, so I'm pretty 'meh' toward that as well.
You do know that a good half of the reason people called SCH OP was because of their sustained DPS potential right? (Because let's be real, they won't be nerfing the fairies) And you probably nael it on the SCH/SMN branch which contribute to this change as well. But for SCH we are talking about DPS factor of a healer, which SE have shown to frown over. Hence why I say it's (the overall job) still up for debate. WHM on the other hand is divinely screwed though, a pure healer than doesn't seem to heal more than it's counterpart packed with utility, talk about Holy S***.
These are choices made by a player to be optimized, because it is simply not required as per design. The issue is stemming from efficiency being enforced by other players as design. This is SE sighing and caving because players do not listen. You know, those kids that throw tantrums to get what they want and get it because parents are tired of dealing with it (or some other excuse). You fail to mention how paladin can just as well do content as the other tank roles, creating just a bit of a false scenario, or at least a misleading one. It's not that paladin needed it, but content was certainly easier on other jobs. Yet, it was nowhere near impossible to do it on a job that would require better resource management or simply higher execution to do it.
