Now see? This makes sense. This is what I do. I'm 99/99 too unless I want more kinna gear, and I'll still stop and help pick up silver chests along the way or scout rooms, because I don't mind. And if everyone else wants to speedrun? Cool, I can do that. All ya gotta do really is talk with your group. A lot of people are flexible and willing to help- it's not a huge amount of people who get so sussed that they can't do what they want they make a forum topic about it.

I respect the people I'm in a group with by default. But if they start acting up, I ain't gonna put up with it.

A false statement, if they wanted players to open all chest that would be a requirement in order to move to the next floor. How you clear the content is up to you.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this ... At beginning of your potd run, tell the party what you are after and if they are willing to do it as well. Whether it be silver chests or speed run's or what ever. If they don't want to do what you do, leave and queue again. Queue's are almost instant most times and leaving on the first floor gives the other group enough time to find a replacement if needed. Just seems like an easier solution in my head. Oh, this is only for duty finder of course, if you set up your own party, then this shouldn't be needed ... I would hope.

Duty finder means you're being put with a random group, which means you will sometimes have to adapt to how they play. There is no one intended play style, which is why its ok to kick for difference in play style. If the majority wants to speed, that's ok, if they want all the chests, that's ok. You play with others you have to communicate with others and figure it out.

Sometimes I think Ama is just a really dedicated forum troll.

What floors were your friends even on?
If you guys enter floors 51+ with Aetherpool Gear below 30, then get out.

With that in mind, I made this poll. It's not the most overly thought out but I did try to come up with many scenarios as possible. The actual intent being wanting to see what's the overall satisfaction that they playerbase draws from PotD.

Here we go

Part I

-How many times do you do PotD (Floors 51+) in a week and how many floor brackets do yo do?

-Following the above question, how many people do openly speak up about wanting to speedrun and if so, which floor brackets do you most encounter them in?

-By that same note, how many people do openly speak up about wanting silver chests and/or explore all rooms and if so, which floor brackets do you most encounter them in?

-From a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being extremely satisfied and 1 being extremely unsatisfied, how would you rate your overall weekly completions of floor brackets:

A) 51-60
B) 61-70
C) 71-80
D) 81-90
E) 91-100


Part II

-When no one speaks up, list your main preferred or habitual style of PotD play

*Pure speedrun, kill only what needs to be killed to get passage open, no chests

*Mixed speedrun, killing only what needs to be killed but pick chests if they're in the same room

*Pure chestrun, avoiding most monsters if possible to get all chests, then killing to progress

*Mixed chestrun, going after easy chests if possible but killing things along the way as well

*Whatever mood fits (other. pls describe)

In the area of 10 to 15 runs per week, usually just repeating 51-60 unless I'm running with someone who wants to go to 100

People talking in chat about wanting a speedrun? On average none. People just making a beeline for the portal? Every single run.

Again, talking in chat? Usually none. People just splitting off for a moment to peek into siderooms? One every second run on average if I'm not counting myself.

Only if there's some sort of obvious conflict in objectives, so usually not.
I'll just occasionally split off from the party to peek into nearby siderooms and grab any silver chests that are easy enough to reach.
-By that same note, how many times does at least one party member complies with your request in a week?
Out of the few times I felt the need to speak up the group went along with it each time save for once.
-Have you ever wanted to kick someone because they did not comply?
Yes, once, and only because "not comply" meant "sabotaging the run trying to wipe the group".
-Have you ever actually kicked someone because they did not comply?
Yes, the same person as above.

You bet I do. People springing mimics then running away and people crowding chests and/or looting in combat. If it happens, especially if three people decided to crowd the booby trapped chest, I tell them politely that their behaviour is not wise and to please let a single person loot chests after the room has been secured. If they don't listen I'll be extra careful to keep my distance from any chests and only engage with one mob at a time even if there are multiple pulled so I can attempt to salvage the run if things go south and the pack resets.

I'd really like to be able to get a "Minesweeper" title after triggering a silly amount of mines, does that count?
I'd also love for silver chests to take priority over golden chests when displayed as icons on the map.

You do not know the ToS do you?
First off dispell is not in the game, you can't assume people know what that means. (not a tos violation itself ofc but the rest of the reasoning is) Second of all spamming someone is considered a violation and kickable so yes the kick was legitimate, 3rd even when they first asked for "dispell" it was done in an insulting manner and my friend was already considering kicking them for it, due to that insult and the noncooperation during the floors prior in not helping kill monsters to finish scouting the floors. Lastly when they spammed saying leeches, yeah that pushed it and got kicked for it. There is no excuse to defend toxicity and noncooperation in DF. I am shocked how people want to twist stories to attack people on the forums, but I hope it was from simply misunderstanding what was said.

No it doesn't, you can't server wide PF for deep. Also I do not think it is right to tell people to run fixed or PF because people can't be civil, and there is already many changes made to the game over people not being civil and toxic, so I am confused why you are not debating in taking all those changes out.

Also for the "commutation" for people thinking that was the issue, it wasn't. My 2 friends where trying to communicate and ask for help killing things and it was only met with "?" the speed runners where not putting any effort in communicating or trying to cooperate, for this story that made me post this.
