They never nerfed nor added Second Coil Savage to the DF list (just overgearing+unsync), and we already had a normal easier mode this time around for the current raid tiers that should have been a supplement to not needing the optional harder version getting its mechanics difficulty nerfbatted.

It's clear why they didn't nerf Second Coil Savage and nerfed Gordias Savage, and that's because of the rewards. That's the thing though, why does SE insist on throwing everyone's efforts down the gutter every patch? They nerf every hard to obtain item until it's worth nothing at all, even high end raiding equipment/mounts.

The reason for nerfing Coil was to open the story to more people.

Now with Alex we have already an easy story mode. There was no reason to nerf them or to make it solo qeueable.

I think this thread perfectly explains the state of the general ffxiv player base, cause gosh dang y'all suck a pattern recognition.

I bet most of the people complaining about nerfs haven't even got past Hand of Pain.

The nerf doesn't change that fact. With higher gear available and no reason for most of the player base to attempt it, the original difficulty is long gone.

Way to generalise everyone who hasn't done that content when it was new/relevant. Ever thought that people might not find it fun to lose hundrets of times to something before they may finally beat it or some others just don't have the time in to join a raid group in the first place?

seems like the only major nerf is to the adds. it was a rather easy phase to begin with. final phase will still demand very precise positioning.

I would say that it does. You can choose to wear lower-iLvl gear (or use the iLvl sync). You can find like-minded people to run with or friends willing to help. You can't give the piston lubricants back their full HP though, nor can you make them cast Mucilage with its original timing.
