To be fair, the being kicked due to ilvl is more something the "normal" players do. Many of those who parse realise skill matters far more than ilvl.

On FFXIV Reddit you made the same post and replied to someone by saying this:
Now your saying:
lol...
Myself and anyone reading this thread/Reddit can see quite enough about your views to give our opinion.

Play BLM, and try to optimise dps as high as you can in alex savage, I'm sure this will prove to be the challenge you are looking for :)
I was in a group where everyone was 180. We actually would down one of the snakes in fairly good time but the fight was bugged so that within seconds of downing the first, the second would disappear and we'd wipe. It was extremely annoying. We even tried re-queuing and had the same problem. I then went in with some FC members later and after the first snake was dropped, we had about 10-15 seconds more to drop the second snake, despite doing less overall dps due to lower ilvl.
As for the topic-- I always love when people pay money for a game and then treat it like it's a part time job. At work, I try to do my best because it means I get promotions, raises and a paycheck. But when playing a game (especially one I'm paying money for every month) I play it to have fun. I try to do my best because I want to see if I can top myself each time, not because I expect to be rewarded or want to lord it over everyone else. That's what a game is. And you can't measure a person's skill in damage numbers alone. I'm a MCH. My dps is naturally lower, especially when I'm supporting the team in something like A4 by throwing down an MP turret during phase 3. If you're basing everything on a parser, you're doing it wrong.
Is this for real? Is this a troll thread?
I have to ask because I'm having trouble discerning them when I'm tired.
so you think im going to give a well thought out response to someone telling me to "cry more sweet tears"? all you can do istake things out of context. gg
post a asinine response, get an asinine response back. that's how it works. i like how you act like you're above this but in reality, you're one of those people who can dish it but can't take it.
bet you'rethe kind of person who harasses celebrities on twitter and then when they tell you to eff off you throw a fit and trash the celebrity whenever youcan
try again
I hate the word elite... its been ruined to the point that its stereotypical. The mark of a good or "elite" player in lol isnt diamond... it's challenger + being signed onto a sponsored team. Diamond is still the little leagues, many don't even consider the game competitive until master, and most understand that solo queue will never result in a paycheck unless you are really good + have a nice twitch personality to go with it.
Don't take my word for it on this though, just watch any pro players stream and pay attention to how they feel about diamond players.
my point is this, lol is a team game and being identified as a good player requires you to be good at your job + mechanics + playing like a good teammate. That being said ffxiv is a team game also. Also most pugs versus competent players show far more than 10% difference in dps.. it's honestly more like 30-40%
So no one is gonna call out the OP for comparing a PVP game to a PvE one? Guess I will LoL is pvp FF14 is an MMO PvE, go back to pvp games if you want to show your "elite skills"
Lololol at the reddit responses, enough said.
Thank you scarebearz for posting that link
