Can we please get a serious 24-man raid in 3.1?

As far as "difficult" 24 man content and only queueing for it in a full alliance... all that would happen is people would cry about it. They're already crying about Alexander Savage not being accessible in the DF. The 24 man content in this game is aimed at the same audience that Alexander's story mode is aimed at - the casual crowd. Even with as simplistic as the mechanics have been in the crystal tower raids, people still fail them to this day. If it's possible to fail something, Duty Finder can find a way to do it.

Spending the time and resources requires to make a 24 man "challeging" raid for "hardcores" it's not worth it, terrible deal for SE cuz the "99%" will not enjoy it/ try it/ clear it and the "hardcores" will finish it in few hours/days, get all the items they care in a few weeks and then say they are boring / jump to another game till next update/ just stop logging.

Learned from WildStar: hardcore audience focused content = bad deal /// Social-Casual content = great deal + more clients + more money

This would be an incentive to get a better/bigger FC. Or a nice, big LS. Or really an FC that isn't just some multiple of 8.

Really, I don't know why people are to repugnant to the idea of challenging content for big groups; they've been a staple for MMO's since the beginning.

Until Tuesday it wont be the best gear, it's not 24 man, it's split into 4 parts.

But back to the topic at hand I think they should keep 24 man raids easy. Even today you still get people failing at 24 man raids so to make it harder would be more of a butt sore then enjoyable. 24 man raid has always been a catch up type of dungeon and to make it harder means they need to give us top end gear.

Why wouldn't they give us top end gear? Seems reasonable to me.

I am against the very idea of a 24 premade raid that rivals Alexander difficulty. Here is my reasons:

1. 24 man raids require a whole knew balance in classes and mobs.
2. New boss mechanics must be introduced aside from 8 man raids.
3. It is wasted content. It is so much easier for raiders to get the same amount of armor for a 8 man than 24 man.
4. Why the hell would a FC ever do a 24 man over a 8 man other than the silly idea of it being big?
5. Even if you up the item level of a 24 man from 8 man you are now segregating smaller FC's who raid.
6. Raids cost time and money. If you introduce a new raid something else may be removed or will not be introduced in the content list.
7. It is a gamble that FF probably does not have interest in dealing with. Millions of dollars a new raid would cost.
If no one runs it Yoshi P. would have to tell them why he just lost all that money. I don't think FF has the budget for that yet.
8. It is probably not in Yoshi P's vision in his game.

Mostly due to Top end gear beining a reward from Hard content, I just not so found of the idea myself where each member of a Alliance needs to play there role at there best in order to clear said content.

And if they made it easy, then it would kinda a slap to the players who work hard on hard content to get rewards. Then again there give off items to upgrade your gear to to top tier from 24 man quest wise.

Not a "LFR" a 24 man raid that lets FC's run it with all members for top notch Alex armor or w/e end game content.

Why would you even say "better"? Bigger =/= better. For many of us, our FC is something that we founded with a few friends and it's not something that we can just lightly leave behind. I know that's how mine is. We do recruit, but the core of the FC is a group of friends that came from another game. It's mostly just a place for us to hang out and talk, and any raiding and such gets done through linkshells. The vast majority of people I run into are in small to medium free companies (I'm nosy, I snoop company profiles a lot), so it's little wonder that SE isn't pushing content aimed only at very large FC's. They'd be excluding a huge portion of their playerbase if they did.

"But Alexander (Savage) is only meant for a small portion of the playerbase!" The difference is, anyone can at least attempt it. You can grab 8 randoms out of PF then go in there and die for an hour and a half. If they put in something requiring 24 people from the same FC, there's a hard restriction there that keeps you from even trying.
