You're missing the point. I'm not saying add a One Shot Mechanic to all NM. I clearly did say they only used it when they are about to Reset. It just like in real life. When a predator chase after someone and they about to lose it, they use their ultimate skill to get it.
I don't think anyone mind being dead to an NM when they passed by anyway since it already happen without the one shot mechanic. So what different does it make if they add this? It would actually make people not abused it and reset mob for their own selfish FC or LS from a poor soul there actually try to get full credit and found it first.
Yes, let's make a return of the great Crawler's Nest trains, or the Goblins in the Jungles. (sorry about the FFXI references) If mobs followed you until you zoned this would happen.
Isn't resetting mobs that you or party didn't tag initially a reportable offence under harassment?
Sure I read a post where a GM supposably stated that.
How does it? Someone tags a mob, someone else comes along and resets it. Sounds like a clear case of harassment in my opinion.
Too many have the self entitlement issue, that they feel they should be able to catch every single hunt mob. Thing is if you don't get their before someone pulls, try better next time. There is no rule that anyone should wait for anyone else. It is courtesy, nothing more. If a party happens upon a mark they are capable of killing then they are entitled to pull and kill without needing to tell anyone else. Personally I don't mind waiting for other parties to come and also get credit for it. But there will always be some who didn't get there in time.
Yeah it's definitely against ToS; you're purposely doing something you know will mess with what other people are doing.
I don't know though, at first I was really against resetting, but have seen a few times where a mob accidentally gets pulled, and what then? You're stuck fighting it even though you didn't pull it on purpose? I can't stand people whining about "early pullers", though I'm never first to pull unless it's very clear nobody's coming, and overall the community seems to be handling these better now.
I think it's good that resetting is against ToS, because of the capability to troll if it wasn't; but making it so that you have no recourse in regards to accidental pulls, or the majority agreeing something should be reset, I don't think that should be taken away.
Overall I think everyone should just be pleased SE released content with such a high reward rate and deal with its minor flaws as is.
Where is this view coming from that resetting is trolling? Resetting gives more time so that more people can get credit for the fight - that includes people in your group and those not in your group. After a reset, you re-tag and you're golden. There is NO benefit from being the first to tag the NM. Seems like the reset complainers just want to ensure that they are the only ones to get a reward. Talk about selfish.
From the ToS: "3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers."
Even just making the mob take longer to kill would fall under that. How are you to know if a person needs to go in exactly 2 minutes to catch a bus, or whatever, and you resetting it means they have to go afk and miss out?
And especially with a B rank it's quite possible for enough people to show up after a reset (or several) that you don't get full credit that you would have.
