2.3 BiS Bard Equips?

Finally re-ran the BiS finder with the 2.3 gear.

Left the weights at default; set up some materia (skipped the pants and chest because there's no way to make up that DEX difference); put the minimum Accuracy to 515; and changed the ilvl range to 25.

I would be keen to see a parse with that set compared to a i110+HA weapon parse.

Probably depends on the content. The set I linked is high in SS, which would be brutal for, say, T8. Overall, though, I'd love to see how it compares in a live setting, I agree.

519 acc ? You're planning to tank ?
What is your basis ? Maximal DPS with 100% accuracy in every situation or maximal average DPS in every fight ? Accuracy needed for the flank is 491, going to 515 (front accuracy) is a waste (in average).

After a fast check, I can achieve 512 acc with :
15 more DEX
3 less CRIT
24 more DET
34 less SKS

512 acc

If you are unlucky, you'll miss one hit out of the few hits landed where you're hitting from the front.

Honestly, I just figured I'd run the solver with the max needed accuracy anyone could complain about. It takes my computer the better part of a day to run the solver if I set it up the way I do.

491 is what a bard needs. Also think bard needs 5000 hp in t8 for homing + defensive combo

Yes. I do not fully buy that stat weightage is everything. Because I know that when 2.2 started, I went straight i90 pentameld and technically some of the pieces there when pentamelded, by weight are considered BiS. But certainly when looking at parses back then and now, I do not believe that BiS solver set can beat a conventional i110 set lol.

Not necessary, when I first ran T8 our DPS was around i93-95 (dropped lots of tank gear and subsequently healer gears so DPS was lacking behind). Just need good healers to be on the ball to top you up with a SCH that succor and drop a sacred soil etc.

For T8, that's fine. But in T9 you spend the whole last part of the fight attacking from the front so you want as close to 515 as possible.

http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/N825 is what I'll be going for. Auroral ring isn't that good once you're at acc cap.

Huh, the only time in T9 you will be attacking from front is:

1) If you are tanking the blue golems
2) Lunar Dynamo if you are not holding the thunderstruck debuff, by conventional strat

Why would you attack from the front most of the time in phase 4?

Out of curiosity would any of you know which set of BRD Macro's MR.Happy uses all the time? I always hear that macro usage is frowned upon but i see many BRDs still using them.
