Though it is a good idea when the level cap gets higher i dont believe something like this should be implimented early on. its really not that hard to level up that you need assistance when you are logged off. you should not be penalized for playing too much, and you should not be rewarded for playing less. you should be rewarded for playing, and earning it. that is where your sense of accomplishment comes from, and that is what makes games rewarding.
All they need to do is abolish the surpless exp and I'll be happy. Hell I hardly ever hit it, but it always sucked when I did.
believe me when it was asked originally if se had said that is was against the rules to do so i would have not been doing so. as long as they allowed it and they said it was ok to do so i was within the rules to do so. they are moving away from it and that i do understand. i am not happy they haven't really replaced it with anything, yet, but i am sure that will come eventually.
to me leve failing over completing was a way i was able to party with my real life friends. i have 3 of them in game and they only get to play a few hours in the evening and it was the way we were able to party together. as long as the leve groups are replaced by another viable group event to be able for them to see results in a few hours i am happy.
i would have preferred to have every leve give around the same sp and allow them to all be available every reset. i failed because it was the way to keep myself and my static group together. if i could have chosen different leves every reset and them choose the same ones i would have been more than happy to complete them. the keeping the group together for saving time was my only reason for supporting the leve failing method.
leve failing over leve completing to me is no different to grinding raptors compared to grinding coblyns(post hp increase). both methods were within the rules and people did what they could to be able to get the most sp per hour. this allowed people that did not have much time to be able to group up and feel like something was accomplished in that short time frame.
whether you liked the method or not you cannot say the kills were any less than a kill and the sp gained by playing the game is earning. i was playing the game as it was setup and did what it took to earn sp. i killed mobs for sp.
That a stupid idea and also a lazy/lame way to get exp. If you stop playing you dont get any exp for doing nothing. It's common sense... No wonder now i read/listen to people that get level cap in WoW with just one or two weeks.
If you have to ask you really haven't played many in your life time. People want things handed to them in almost every single way -- I understand getting a bonus, but people want to be rewarded for not even playing the game lol.
I caught the sarcasm, unless you're being serious then it shows just how flawed guildleves are -- especially considering that you can gain failed leves again or keep faction leves that are failed.
