Improve Dragoon DPS. WEAK in comparison to other DPS

I'm not exactly geared, and I still do top or 2nd DPS in fights that don't gimp melee or have me running around cleaning up other people's messes (CT). Maybe you shouldn't make a thread next time when it's riddled with false information.

i want monks to do KAMEHAMEHA range moves!

I have been getting some complaints from monks when I'm paired with them and they have equal item level gear set saying why is your dps so small/are you even using your buffs right and so forth, so yeah I would like to see an increase in our dps. I mean common we supposedly take on dragons in this games lore so we should have the highest dps rating and slightly better physical defense and magic defense then what we have now.

thats not the only disadvantage, drg is more of a job thats about sprinting, rack up high numbers fast, producing good results throughout the battle, mnk on the otherhand is about the long fights.....their dps only get higher the longer the fights go, till they hit their pinnacle

but i do agree with some of these posts, sounds like the drgs your speaking of just need to learn how to play their jobs or get better gear (gear is bigger than people believe, especially the weapon) and rotation is another big one
a good drg with similar gear should be within 20% damage of a good mnk, ie if the mnk is hitting around 270, the drg should be pushing about 240-250 dps, but thats just an estimate and assumes a long boss fight

You are overestimating the DPS difference between MNK and DRG way too much. There's no way a MNK does 25% more DPS than a DRG, given similar gear and skill level - there is virtually no DPS difference at all if both classes are played correctly.

Those Monks are probably right on the fact that you need to work on your rotation and general gameplay, as you really shouldn't fall behind similarly geared MNKs by any significant amount.

drg is so strong right now. Last week on caduceus I did 310 DPS, BRD did 250 (w/ my disembowel that's approx. 20-25 bonus DPS) so 335 DPS. Pretty solid imo

@vodomir I do know my rotation and my combos thank you and I should not be forced to play like that when I'm not doing a speed run and it always when the group decides to do a regular run that the monks speak about my dps, And besides when I was tanking toto-rak the other day we had a monk and a drg the monk was not even in full lvl 24 or above gear and said why is the drg not doing as much dps as him and the drg was in full lvl 50+ gear so yeah its not just about knowing our rotation/combos.
