What's Your 3 Biggest Gripes About PvP?

In no particular order:

1) Armory system in combination with pvp character progression makes ZERO sense.

2) I left for about 2 months and came back. People in full allagan gear crush everyone else. It's dumb.

3) position checks while trying to play melee, coupled with how mobile the system is, feels awful

I don't know this for sure, it just appears to be happening. Some people, everytime we want to run garuda em, ultima, etc, they are in pvp and don't respond to ls fc chat. And after turn 4, everyone "I GTG", they log of 10 mins, then log on and their in PVP.

About to be a lot of statics breaking up and a line dividing between the two types of players. PVP or PVE.

Lord knows I’ve been in the middle of something and needed a few extra seconds to gather myself, but I agree, 2 minutes is a tad long. Cutting it in half is a good idea. +1

I know it’s just starting out, but I really hope something like these will be implemented in the future. It’s rather bland right now. I’m still having fun, but it’ll get old pretty quick. More variety in future plz

Instead of quoting the comments implying a similar connotation, I’ll just quote this once and say this…

I understand if you do not like PvP. Lots of people don’t. I however love PvP and am glad some form of it was incorporated into a game I enjoy. In turn, you’ll never see me try and suggest solutions to the balancing problem that currently exists in a way that’ll be detrimental to the PvE meta. I have always hated to see that happen, and hate to be lumped into the “selfish pvp’ers” that make suggestions without regard to the fans of PvE. So please, if you do not like PvP, then don’t play and try not to contribute to topics brainstorming ideas to fix PvP…..albeit this really isn’t a “brainstorming topic” yet lol. Just sayin.

I’ve seen this posted a few times, so let’s just clear this up once and for all.

PvP gear, it’s attributes (including PvP materia) do not function at lvls 30 and 40. So if you wish to PvP in a format wear gear will never matter, simply go there. If you are asking for the game to be balanced in PvP without gear, you are asking for adjustments to PvE, which leads me to this….

When a game is designed around PvE, it is next to impossible to incorporate PvP without extrinsic variables. What you are asking SE to do, is to somehow balance the PvP portion of the game around gear, abilities, and playstyles developed with PvE game play at it’s core. This is an impossibility. The gear is here to say, it’s necessary, and will not change.

I share the same balancing concerns as you, but removing the gear is not one of those practical solutions.

Lol, you need 5 Behemoth Horns from the Behemoth fate to purchase it. I wear it in PvP for the intimidation factor…which let’s be honest…isn’t intimidating anyone xD
