This error was never fixed. But that time was given until ShB, where timing for mechanics began to be tighter again.

For me, that "enjoy" a 200~220ms ping, DT dungeon bosses became harder due to timing. Sometimes, even sprinting I get caught at some mechanic besides the client showing my character out of the bad. So I have to move ~200ms before mechanic even begins. And it's not always possible.

And sadly, 200ms ping is not a problem for majority of online games. For FFXIV, if you aren't near the server, you can't even double weave without clipping. And guess what? It affects how well you can do your rotation.

Due to poor net code, that wasn't fixed since... ARR?

Can skill be improved through practice and more knowledge. Yes of course, up to a point. But to argue there isn't an individual skill cap flies in the face of human experience, not to mention neurobiology.

I am a very competitive person. I played poker for a living for many years. I understand what it takes to get good at a game. I could share my process of "progging" DT MSQ dungeons with Duty Support, my experiments unsynched with older, harder content (where however much I practice, the only way I can survive certain mechanics is by out-gearing them). But what's the point when I'll just be told I'm not trying hard enough? Apparently you can assess what I am capable of doing better than I can. Impressive.

I shouldn't have to explain how practice and repetition improve skill. You didn’t come out of the womb able to talk, walk, or post thinly-veiled excuses on forums. These abilities, like any skill, were developed through time and effort.

I'm sorry but they do lots and lots. On this forum and in my own personal experience.

Everytime I say to a high end XIV player "there is nothing to do the content is boring."
They say "do savage"
they say "high end raiders are starving too"
the implication being because there is content we haven't played, we need to play that before we get any more content.
What's worse in my experience they are never just savage raiders, they are all ultimate raiders too.
Yet I know most of them barely ever set foot in a roul. They never want to run anything old more than once.
Their attitude is we are done with the last content now we have our mount. Now we need new content. We are starving. You shouldn't get new content because you've still got savages.
You can do it. Anyone can do it.
Except, it's Fing miserable content.
with it's logs
And it's blacklisting
And it's abandons
And all this stuff that is nothing to do with battle like tedious (I suspect often rude) hunt trains (the only two I followed along were rude) maybe I eas unlucky

And then they say, "well leave", take a break if your burned out.

Oh, and deep dungeons... yup you guessed it, the only people I know able to get more that a few floors out of those, high end statics again.

This game seems to have nothing except for the two extreemes...
Either complete solo content, or you need a static of some sort.
PoD was loads of fun for the floors you could just queue! Then bust. 2 attempts to get to 200, and people just move on. The main complaint was the bosses weren't very fun, and the floors were very samey.
Same for heaven, once you've done the queable floors , it's irrelevant content.
Eureka I can't say. But after my small static of 2 died out, I don't remember wanting to try to put together another, Probably because subconsciously I've been here before. For all I know you can queue all the floors of Eureka matched?
