Just remove the scales and paste an Elezen head over the Au Ra head. Body isn't too far off from an Elezens.
Not as obvious as the Viera, though. Viera are pretty close to just being Elezen with rabbit ears (with Miqo'te face options, which just makes them look weird).

Viers look WAAAAAAY more feminine than female Elzens body wise. Believe me, my first character was a female Elezen. She was built like a man.

This just popped up on Reddit. No idea if they're real or not, so grain of salt and that stuff, but now there's something weird going on.

Their bodies are similar in that they're both tall, have 2 arms, 2 legs, and a head attached.

Male Elezen are a long rectangle with elongated limbs: their shoulders are slightly larger with their torso and hips being relatively he same size. Male Au Ra are an exaggerated V shape (their shoulders are almost twice as wide as their waist!), almost to the point of being an hourglass with their chunky thighs.

This is big if true since it lists all the playable races (Viera included) with one name we haven't heard before.

For those wondering what the image is saying, because I was silly and had to look it up to get it (it's not that complicated once you get it though..)

Simply the npc glitched out and calls the player by all races listed under the player race data piece, like au'ra, miqote, hyur... viera.... and then there is one more. . . . . .

The name also sounds like a particularly cold name, like... brr.. a planet might have the similar name as it, or a snowy place in skyrim.. or after a king whose story takes place in a cold region.

Was vague because I feel SE has already been generous to let us use their space to talk about things like this lol, I wanted to make clean up easier if they choose this is too much. Thanks SE <3 :)

What the hell is hroathgar

Too bad the character was not male, it would have confirmed male vieras. Female hrotghar seem to be a thing tho so no gender locked race

I really hope there is some backlash at jp fanfest if there are no male viera.

The name is based on a danish King so you are right. I smell Ronsos.

Oh great not only do the cat people exist but their name is unpronounceable. A ray of light I do see though is that if this dialogue did trigger, especially with the bottom one saying "la Hrothgar" this means that females exist. That would be excellent news! Or it could be that the automatic command set up in the dialogue failed in all aspects and assigned a nonexistent pronoun after seeing how the player character is female. God help us all.

I hope you're right. It would be amazing if we could get 2 complete non-gender locked races in this expansion since it would please both sides of this debate. Did this person go back and try the same with a male character? Or there is a link anyone can share to where this screenshot originated?

My body isn't ready for that lol. I mean I want it to be true out of sheer greed seems to be best choice but like.. I'm not ready for that lol. It can't be true XD..

I would suggest if their character bugged out on initialization to the game that logging out and back in as another gender (or even the same) might fix the bug. Or it's a photoshop to play with us :)

If I understand correctly french has male and female sentence components, such that you can tell gender by the construction. So they've addressed the player by their gender and then race "ma/la" (I think).

I would have assumed that if they were genderlocked, it would also check the gender and exclude the 'locked out race'.

I wouldn't put much weight in not officially released beta text leaks.

It's possible that the dialog changed because you're too far in the dialog tree. They're level 59 with this as their MSQ: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...t/2ca40442deb/

It doesn't. The screenshot is someone going through the MSQ and Kupocoubo isn't. She has different lines and it's these two that are being triggered differently because of it. Someone at the same point in the MSQ or a newer character needs to check.

I will try to see if the other npc tell me something, but I think it's tied to msq in Ishgard...

That's probably just two separate checks for each word.

Its MSQ quests that seem to be bugged going off the reddit post (?). Apparently they're both quest dialog where they refer to your character is referred to by your race.

someone claiming to have taken a peek where they shouldn't have says theres gendered options for both Viera and Hrothgar.

Yeah you can't confirm or deny it without being under the same variables as the op.

(but once again you can't use it, if it's not faked, as proof of anything. The dialogue obviously needs to go through a couple passes before it's ready since it obviously has improper syntax on its trigger.)
