Yes, many people on Twitter (x), when the expansion came out couldn't say you didn't like wuk lamat because you "hurt sena's feelings" and that for the Twitter community already told you bigot and transphobic.

I still think sena is not good VA, but that's not why I'm going to attack her personally, however many idiots think that if you attack wuk lamat then you also attack sena, there are many idiots on Twitter who have that all stupid thinking and consequently they are the ones who figure that "dawntrail is fine, everyone who thinks otherwise are bigots".

You can check these videos out for getting started in Raiding. That's what got me through the anxiety when I thought this content was only for the "god players" out there and to get into PF. I could show you the other guides and videos but they are more specialized and dependent on the role, the job and the encounter you wish to tackle.

As long as a player can push buttons in the correct order, Raiding isn't 'that' horrible as a lot of people might think.
Fights in FFXIV are pretty "linear" since they work as a clockwork following preset rotations.
So as long as people can memorize those rotations & know where to stand (and push the buttons) they can raid.
What makes raiding so much more difficult is that there's little no room for mistakes as a lot of attacks are 1 shots if you're not a tank.

This is from personal experience back in Endwalker when I gave savage raiding a try due to boredom to give myself something to do and challenge/a goal to see how far I can go.
I used youtube tutorials to see a complete fight and then rewatch the first part a couple times while joining practice runs.
And when I felt that I could do the first segment I did the same thing for the next, and so on.
(Each fight I saw I thought to myself "this is impossible. I'll never learn all this".)
In the end I managed to complete 5 out of the 12 raids in Endwalker. I stopped there due to irl stuff came in the way to continue.
I cleared at least 4 of them from doing Duty Finder groups, as I had joined a static later on.

Point is, raiding is very much possible with random people and without talking through voice.
And youtube tutorials is very much viable when it comes to learning a fight.

What else is missing, then? What else do you personally require that makes it complete nonsense? Because there are videos that supply both the knowledge and explanations to begin attempting the fights. There are TONs of guides for every fight, each tailored to particular visual style preferences and different approaches to explaining a mechanic.

I felt my previous responses had explained the situation adequately, but apparently not, so allow me to try again.

First, let's rule out individuals with diagnosable physical and neurological conditions that prevent them from playing combat well. Keep this simple.

Your assertion is that everyone playing FF14, when given the required information, can clear Savage. I think to be fair we must also stipulate that this "clear" involves them not being carried. Okay so far?

For this to be true, Savage content must require an intrinsic level of skill that is below the minimum achievable skill level of all players in 14.

Skill is not some binary, in which absent of disabilities you can do all content in FF14. It's a spectrum. No matter how much information you give people, and how much they practice, each individual will eventually reach a skill cap. Even you Volgia!

Let me try this from the opposite direction. Think of a mechanic you find difficult to handle. Now imagine that the cast time is shorter, or the speed of the attack is faster, or the number of pixels you can safely stand on is reduced. Can you now resolve this mechanic? Can you resolve it if these parameters are made increasingly more difficult?

It seems that because all it takes for you to resolve savage mechanics is information (which in your case I assume is obtained through progging), that you have concluded everyone else can do it too, if only they would try.

This is completely false. You're really good at this. Possibly abnormally so. Most people are not at your level, nor can they achieve it. This is no more controversial than noting that different individuals will have an intrinsic limit on how rapidly they can unscramble a Rubik's cube.

Now I would accept that some people who currently do not attempt Savage could do so successfully if they put in the effort, but this idea that the bulk of the playerbase is not attempting Savage because they are lazy is frankly offensive. Not only is it beyond their current ability, it is beyond their achievable ability.

It is content meant to be difficult and designed that not everyone might be able to do it, that it requires practice and dedication.
It's a shame that individuals with possible handicap/disabilities falls within that category "automatically". But if everything in a game would cater at such a low skill roof then there would be nothing to challenge players besides those individuals.
And maybe if people wants to be able to do exactly everything then maybe FFXIV (and other games that do require such) might not be the right game for them.
There are other games that are by design easier/have a simpler skill roofs. There's no reason to demand a game with a certain design to change because "it's not fair".

That's really cool. The "this is impossible" feeling to clearing something is great. I've done a handful of current extremes and savages, but am very much a casual and not good at that kind of content. I'd like to do more but sitting around in PF for hours trying to fill learning groups is a complete turn off when your play time is limited. Hats off to people who make it their priority though. You deserve the rewards!

What's more insulting is that you're saying these same people have a snowball's chance in hell in improving. What good is your narrative doing for them if you're essentially saying "you'll never be good enough to clear savage". I'd prefer the approach of "here's some resources to help catch you up to speed" and being helpful rather than what you seem to be suggesting.

Each clear took me between 1-2 weeks each. And I pretty much put all my time in FFXIV progging during that time.
It was rough and sometimes down right terrible. PF groups can really be a hit or miss to say the least.
But in the end I'm glad I did it. And my confidence in myself has been higher than before as well.
I know that I just need time and practice and I can do more than I think that I can.
That itself was worth the hardship.
