No point in having it aside from aesthetic reasons, absolutely pointless. Why would people want it something that adds zero game-play value? Might be a good question to ask the jumpers.

Anyways.. I still don't see why wyvern pets couldn't be quested and optional. With people who don't obtain them not losing out on anything.

Mmm people really missing the buddy system part which can be really really good if you think about it...

Right now the buddy system is setup for Chocobo but say SE decides to make Wyvern buddy, or Moogle Buddy that has different skills/abilities it will make the game play interesting in future.... (why the hell would devs call it buddy system if they are not thinking about other buddies... i would call it Chocobo Buddy instead of Buddy alone)

And say with Wyvern Buddy it has abilities to help Dragoon in some way it's better to call a Wyvern than a Chocobo.
Chocobo Buddy - helps say overall classes
Wyvern Buddy - Dragoon benefits bit more, or can be more for fighter class (then FFXI Dragoon's gonna cry again... so need to think of something....)
Moogle Buddy - benefits Sorcerer class more

...crafter/gatherer ... i dunno......... Coblin Buddy? w

At least this way you get your full on Dragoon and same time you got your Wyvern buddy if you call it out.

he could summon one as a limit break actually....it was called Dragon. But when did he become a dragoon? helll noone in FF7 really had a true class, just weapons. Attach materia to them and now they cast spells of any kind....and summon.

and above my posy shows freya could summon dragons (looks like spirits, but its a dragon) but hey, lets ignore that and keep letting these loads of people who have not even touched LNC decide the fate of a class they likely wont touch.
