Noel is just younger, period. His face is more oval shaped.
Of course it's sometimes hard to distinguish since SE characters all do tend to have the same features (you can see the comparison of the females too) -

About replying to a teaser vs a teasing footage, I already explained this point:

I watched the video a few times today. Trying to figure out if it is just a random series of clips/events or if there is a significance to them.
My theory is this.
Perhaps Bahamut was weak from breaking free of Dalamud/wrecking up Eorzea and entered a type of hibernation. It could be the reason much of the world now has strange formations and new vegetation (Ex: Mor Dohna is more like it's original appearance before 1.0, during its opening movie) because of the summoned Aether from trying to seal Bahamut was scattered around, rejuvenating the land and repairing a lot of the damage. This also released some other baddies from slumber (Odin/Behemoth, etc).
This period (5 years) enables the people left alive to rebuild, which might suggest how such progress was made in such a short time.
I think the three nation's main story arc characters didn't get teleported to the future/rift/whatever holding place our characters were in. I think they remained behind to rebuild the world. It is possible the devices they wear are a device Cid constructed to determine the time that our characters and the rest of the forces fighting at the end of the world would emerge. Maybe even to measure how deep Bahamut was snoozing underground in his labyrinth.
Shortly after the mass of Chocobo riders start to emerge and form into a giant riding force, Limsa is shown setting off fireworks and the folks that were left behind are showing excitement. Perhaps excitement because the day had arrived that their loved ones that fought in the war had finally been released from the Rift and would return home. (Since shortly after this is when we see "our characters" (The people representing the average adventurer) emerge to see the new world. Much like the riders at the start of the 2.0 footage, they summon their Chocobos (Who probably were also left behind/mildly perturbed/yet now happy to see them) and ride off into the Realm Reborn.

Why i think the opening movie was sufficient is:
a) it show's the end of the old era
b) it show's people going about their business oblivious to 1.0 event's, NPC's, and possibly implied to new players
c) it show's that the survivors of 1.0 who still remember, have a roll to play in the new world NPC's, implied old players -

Do the Circle members look 5 years older? I mean, an easy way to tell if they got a lift from Lou is to see if they age. If they "LOOK" older, then we can say they didn't go to the void with us (those in the Void don't age remember).
Unfortunately, only the Hyurs would be the best race to decide this as the other races may not show much aging in 5 years. And one of the Hyurs has half her face covered, so that leaves us with good ol' Thancred.
Does he "look" 5 years older? To me, he kinda sorta does or at least he looks different than in 1.0 CG. But SE could be using different CG than in 1.0. I dunno. -
