I mean, I'll take any word that where the actions of someone actually match the definition of the word. That would be lovely.

I was hesitant to write variant and criterion off as "one and done" but it looks like it's more like 10 and done. Finished and got the rewards I want last night, from two evenings of casual play. Please dont overwhelm me Yoshi P. Then I couldnt idle in limsa all day.... uwu

I don't know, to be honest. I'm on the fence with it.

On one hand I do enjoy the humor. On the other, I find the repetitiveness of it tiresome now. The dialogue generally remains funny - even hilarious at times - but I don't find the whole 'legs sticking out of the ground' scenario even remotely funny anymore. And, whilst the new content does sort of address this (Gerolt's dialogue) I've always found Godbert parading around in his underwear completely cringe.

I’ve watched some videos on the variant dungeons and they look just like normal ones but with potd graphics, as in trash - boss - trash - boss - trash - boss and the rewards don’t give me any real incentive to do it.

I assume there are no twists on the difficulty formula?

Doesn’t look anywhere near an M+ equivalent and their shelf life will be small.

It feels like something you’d have no expectations for and still be disappointed.

Everything I've written is because I want to prevent this game from dying but if it keeps on this downward spiral then I all can do is wash my hands of this situation. FFXIV players deserve better than what they are getting. I have been here since day 1 of ARR and I want nothing more than for FFXIV to remain king of the mmorpg genre but when it came to Endwalker that crown was cast away, for reasons I and many others have pointed out. If some of these people who I now know thanks to another thread are decades older than myself could stop acting so immaturely then perhaps they would've realised that a long time ago.

There's nothing left for me to discuss until the next round of Live Letters, whenever they may be.

The self importance and arrogance is too much holy…

At this point he's writing more about the game than playing it, I'm sure. I got so much stuff to do and dont even know where to start, honestly. But everyone is different so... eh. Dude, I also have been here since the closed alpha for 1.0. The game has never been more successful. That's just a fact if you go by numbers alone. Not liking something is fair, but what you're saying is straight up not true.

That aside, yes being gated by Hildibrand is probably still easier and shorter compared to being gated behind both ivalice and bozja. But who says the dev can’t cheat a bit? They can make it so that canon-wise, the player’s WoL has experienced Bozja so we don’t have to finish it to start EW relics.


It might have less activity than Eureka, but I still find a group or two during prime time for Bozja and Zadnor. DR is a bit more difficult, but I can see some people making PF for it. They’re already generous enough with the buffed Echo.

I simply asked WHO here is shilling in which you have yet to answer the question. Apparently me inquiring further someone means I feel called out? Oke bud. I said IF we're gonna call people defending the game shills n white knights (which is wrong) then we can call the opposite haters (still wrong). You know...giving what you get? Also I've seen MANY times here people complain about not having new n fresh content with new ideas. People hated Boz cause it was just Eureka again. I'm not dumb. If they did release another Eureka zone certain folks will indeed complain about dev laziness. Again we've seen it many times here already. Never said you SHOULD hate anything. Maybe go back n reread?
