/em tosses Hiir to teh kitties
Enjoy my brethren!
Kitties are NOT over rated >_>
We're adorable and fluffy ^_^
And now, a question:
Looking to move server since being an aussie on Lamia is lagging me out of being much use in many split second reflex moments >_>
So is Masamune or Sargatanas better lag and community wise?
Gonna change whenever an opportunity arises.
Things are getting yuri in here O_O... continue...
*is scratched all over*
;__; Kittens cannot control their claws. Sometimes I try to pet them and then they attack my hands like: "I drew you in with my cuteness so I can haz finger-burger!!"
We just don't want you to leave.
We have abandonment issues ;_; we claw because we love.
*keeps a close eye on tail around Soukyuu* >.> <.<
Most dog's shed. However, Dogs don't exactly try to rub their hair all over your like cats do. I'll be standing there and some cat will rub his fur aaaaaall over my pant legs. "Thanks! I needed to do laundry!" <(>.<)>
You can keep dogs off the furniture. Good luck with cats though! lol Most of my friends have cats. I go over their house and I think when I don't give them the 100% attention they're accustomed too, they feel at liberty to abuse me or cause a scene. Here we're discussing the history of Eorezan wall murals and the cat walks in, flops down licks her crotch and the looks at us expectantly...
Pulling cat tails sounds fun though, I'll try it! :D
You can actually teach most cats to stay off particular pieces of furniture, it just takes considerably more effort than it would with a dog. When I lived with my grandma a few years back, we had our cats mostly trained to stay off of stuff like the table/counters. Mine, being the smart ass thing she is, would occasionally still get up there about the time I came home, giving me a defiant "What are you going to do about it?" look, which was promptly remedied by projectile car keys. However, neither of them got on the above furniture when my grandma was around. Mine apparently respects the elderly better than the person that had kept her fed for 7 years.
Disclaimer: No cats were harmed by the above 'projectile car keys'
My dog knows that "No" means "Never, not even once." But that's because I was pretty strict with him as a puppy. Other dogs are pretty much like cats when it comes to behavior, jumping on the furniture, on the people...
But the truth is, Dogs and cats are loved for different reasons and that's okay. I think my dog is awesome but we've been together like 8 years and I expect another 8. I don't know how I feel about getting another puppy and starting over when I'm that much older though!
Thats how my grandma's cat was. Mine took it more as a suggestion when I brought it up. Again, she gave my grandma no problems. But yes, everyone has different tastes. There are only a few types of dogs I'd consider owning: small yappy dogs being high on the list of "no way in hell." I do want to get one of those few breeds I like, eventually. A sizable portion of my family lives many hours away, and while my cat is my baby, I just cant see her being a good companion on a 12 hour car ride to visit my mom. Dogs are much better for that.
Car rides with my cat generally go as follows:
For the first hour we get Constant moans of despair followed by half an hour of silence. After her break to rest her lungs, she goes back to her wailing for another hour before finally sleeping under the nearest seat for a portion of the car ride before starting back over.
My dog on a car ride (Hour 1): Wow Look at all that stuff! This is great!
My dog on a car ride (Hour 2): Wow... must... keep eyes... open... stuff must be... looked at...
My dog on car ride (Hour 3): Zzzzzzzzzzzz
Yeah. Still much better than the wailing I suffer through =P That is one of the main areas I'll consider dogs to be far better companions. Aside from that and walks and such, it comes down to preference. Though, I have seen people with cats that love car rides. Maybe I should figure out where to get me one of those...
Hello Everyone,

Indeed I think most of the regular readers/posters were going through some withdrawals >-<

^LOVE THIS ONE.
Yeah, I thought I broke something ;.;
Welcome back SGD!
Now for an FFXIV topic...
Where is everyone's favourite spot in Eorzea?
Great, now I asked a question I can't answer myself >_> OK, I like generally high places overlooking vast areas. When housing comes out though, I expect the La Noscean housing area to be my new favourite place, where I'll craft for hours at home and then sip my milk from a tower or rooftop overlooking the other houses and the beach ^_^
I also apologize for not posting in here for a while. :( The forums got far too toxic for me.
So! Let's obey the moderators:
How's everyone doing? Any big achievements in FFXIV?
EDIT:
I would answer Singing Shards in Mor Dhona, but I finished Coil 1 not too long ago. It was Final Fantasy all over the place!
Hmm.. Nym + Bronze Lake are certainly nice.. there are lots of wonderful areas to look at it..
BCoB probably has me the most eager for storyline (up through start of Turn 5) and lore since CoP back in XI. A lot of work went into the design of some of the turns available so far in terms of appearance and feel.
@Vergil - having an awesome time on DRG in BCoB while gearing out a few other classes atm (BRD, BLM, and SCH ^^)
Well it is nice to be back ^^ .. Thanks to Alicia for the heads up.
Welp, I finished Coil turn 1 for the second time and got a drop : Allagan thingy of SMN head piece
I also got WVR and LTW to 50 and though - yay now I can HQ high lvl things! ... Nope+3 ... need to lvl Alchemy for the abilities now *trudges to Alchemist guild with tail in between legs*
Awesome stuff, guys!
I'm hoping I have the time to do a second run of Coil 1. It's so pretty; I just wish I could AFK in there. >.>
And right now,I'm just gathering sticky rice so I can cook some Black Truffle Risotto for my FCdealing with lag on Excalibur. :( I dispatched my retainer, got stuck, and got smacked with a 90k.
I'm glad to see this thread back up :D
Glad to see this thread again! :'3 Thank you, Mods!
Indeed, I was undergoing some withdrawals.. x.x
Ahh, I need to gather some more sticky rice too! But I can only do Cheese Risotto with it. I guess Black Truffle Risotto is a lvl 30+ recipe?
I wonder if a Bard could answer me a question? Tried some HM runs last weekend (Ifrit is a piece of cake compared to Garuda) and once in a while we had a Bard with us but.. Are songs useless now? They never casted a song and I wonder why o.o?
During a Garuda run someone basically said to me: "Filthy AF."
That made me sad and angry the same time. I still remember how I got it and it felt great and now people tell you this :<
Haha! Lucky you! Congrats! I managed to get mine while spending an hour penta-melding a friend's I.O. Hat.
It's a Lv 50 2* recipe. ^^
You can also get black truffles in Eastern Thanalan in an unspoiled node at 1 PM (?) Eorzean time.
Ah, so the thread WAS shot down from its high-flying fun! Like an arbor buzzard torched in the prime of life. I shall simply lace my musings with many a FF anecdote. Speaking of progressive things, I am no longer a thaumaturge! The black called, and I answered.
Hallo friends. I am now fluffy... AND powerful...ish. Someday.
I mooned the moon.
Warning you all before you click this :D
:O
Thanks for the info! Still a long way to go for me, because I started to like leveling several crafters at the same time.
Can't wait to get me the other Crafter 'AF' :3
Oh, another question! Recently started to do leves for Gatherer but I couldn't find any for level 40 yet. Are they located at that 'camp' west of Dragonhead or somewhere else?
http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Ca...raft_Levequest Not sure if they are missing or have not been implemented yet, since I'm still below 25.
Yes, I found level 45 botany leves at that camp west of Dragonhead. Not sure about mining cause I was already 50 miner, but I think it would be nice if we could just pick up the leves from the adventurers guild, at least then you would know where to go to get new ones after that.
Thank you very very very very much for bringing this thread back! /bow m-(_ _ )-m
My favorite spot in all of Eorzea? Hmmm... (I'm thinking really, really hard here...) There are so many beautiful places in Eorzea. But, if i have to select just 1 location, i would say still say Gridania. If i would look over my shoulders right now and look at my fellow Company members, they would all stand there with their arms crossed, nodding and saying "Yep, she doesn't leave unless she has to." (^_^; )
My biggest achievement in this game so far is that i've managed to beat Garuda Hard Mode with my Free Company, the Beholders of Animus. I'm currently working on the Relic Reborn quest for my White Mage, in which i've entered the Primal Phase. So, the next thing on my list is to defeat all 3 Primals (Hard Mode) and complete my first Relic! \(^_^ )/
It's good to be back Nique! \(^_^ )/
By the Twelve, Reinheart... If i had any coffee, it would've been sprayed all over my screen. I can tell you that. Hahaha.
