Please note my original response was to someone calling 2.x bard boring and for lazy people. My response was more meant to point out that there were complexities to the class. The DPS rewarded for optimal play just wasn't rewarded proportionally to the skill involved. I was by no means implying that WM isn't worth it DPS-wise.
You do have a good point on your second part. I feel this is mostly going to be a priority system. Something that increases the difficulty while learning a class, but not hard to execute once learned. I doubt it will be as difficult as consistently pulling off quad barrage, unfortunately. That was one of the most fun parts of the oGCD for me (I blame WM for its change).
I do not dislike WM because of mobility or DPS, for me it really is the play style change.
