Is having bard at lvl 100 supposed to impress someone?

Hey OP, consider the following:
You get your Very Easy Duty Support mode for story dungeons,
BUT you are completely locked out of any optional content until you actually clear, on normal mode, every single dungeon you've skipped in that way. This includes roulettes as well.
Would you be happy with that? Or do you also need to bring that attitude outside of the MSQ?
I totally agree with you, as you I'm no longer "hardcore gamer" and play causal, my pleasure is certainly not in spending hours learning the right patterns for the bosses.
If duty support was a great addition for casuals, it is in the same time spoiled by the increased difficulty of normal donjons at each extension.
This time, I felt no pleasure in leveling my characters as donjons are a pain, and if it keep going It will probably be my last extention.
If SE want an "elistist" game, it's not for me
Perfectly okay to realize the game is not for you and move on. Even Yoshi P is perfectly clear about that.
He's pretty vocal about encouraging people to let their subs lapse and take breaks, and doesn't feel like the game should become a chore for anyone.
I also think he's aware that we don't achieve that by catering to everyone who's not satisfied all the time.
The game is guaranteed to become a chore for everyone if he does that. :P
Every game is targeted at specific groups of people. That's just a fact. Video games as a whole are not exclusionary, but individual games are exclusionary like... By design.
Every entertainment product is exclusionary by design, there isn't a single thing that we can say everybody objectively loves in these more subjective realms.
Also, a reality you are probably ignoring is that there's no "elitist" people here, and Dawntrail pacing changes weren't aimed at people who do extremes and above at all.
I'm no longer an hardcore gamer either. I'm almost 40, with responsibilities, less times, less focus, less agility. I feel like am probably wiser though, and that's why am no longer an hardcore gamer. :D
Yet the dawntrail pacing changes feel like they definitely are for me. So this isn't a matter of being casual or hardcore.
Like, I guarantee you that there's someone underneath your level that would complain at a level where you're comfortable. What will you do then ?
Like, let's not even talk about people at the other end of the casual spectrum (those that can comfortably play in dawntrail) that would complain if they reversed dawntrail pacing changes. :P
I feel like I'm repeating this, but it feels like we debunked that "savage raider elitist demanding they make content aimed at casual harder" conspiracy theory for like, a week and half by now.
Good luck on your travels if you decide to leave. Godspeed. Hope you find something that caters to your needs!
yes, you are a hypocrite. you literally posted about how you'll take other people's gil cause "they're lazy or low iq", while crying about how current content is hard and bad or how the community is toxic.
the reality is, you can speak your mind. go for it. but nobody should take you seriously, especially when you're crying "toxic!" at the slightest pushback. have some self awareness and realize - YOU are the toxic one here.
Attitude? I literally suggested there should be different difficulties of these MSQ dungeons so that EVERYONE can complete them without needless frustration. No, i do not think that should have any bearing on roulettes, and if they want to make "Expert" dungeons harder, then so be it; so long as they are not tied to the MSQ. Look at it this way, if say Alexandria was tuned a little slower. Same mechanics, just longer reaction time. Players would still be learning the fights, and would then be able to take that knowledge to roulettes. It's really no different from going from normal raids to Savage. Nobody is trying to spoil your fun here, but the rest of us who have been enjoying the story aspect of this game first and foremost over the years would like to continue doing so without feeling frustrated every time a dungeon pops up.
So, if you do trial with npc, you get 3 lives. You see, an easy mode on msq dungeons is already possible. They can just give you 999 lives so it is impossible to fail of you just want the story. Yoshi just have to come around and be more flexible. At end of the day, At hydaelyn's final warrior of light, l think it would be trivial for me to come back to life couple hundred times
And then this people who got used to play on "impossible to fail mode" has to be matched with 7 normal players for the last trial of the MSQ. Yeah...I don't want that dead weigh on my MSQ grand finale.
MSQ dungeons are easy AF. Maybe not easier than Endwalker (impossible) but they are not harder than anything we got on vanilla ARR by far. 99% of the times everything we do is "stay away from orange circle in the floor". How can we be lvl+90 and still consider that "hard" and "stressing"?
The last thing this game needs is to split the community even more with extra difficulty settings for the duties. The DPS queues are already on the edge of what's bearable in an MMO. People is missing the most important point here: this is a videogame and "Casual MSQ-only players" are not entitled to anything.
Nothing in DT MSQ can be considered "hard" or "stressing" or anything. It's the most basic stuff as we always had in MSQ. Dodge AOE markers, get in the safe zone, watch where the boss is pointing with his weapon. We are level 100, if an easy dungeon is stressing anybody at level 100 this people should start considering what's wrong with them.
The community is split already... and frankly, who are you to say what people "consider"? Your bias is quite evident, along with the sneering dismissiveness of peoples' concerns.
