My Opinion of the Little Ladies Day Event

okay didn't read everything, cause i really don't have to, based on the first few posts. For all of those who don't know These Events, for the most part, are all linked to real life holidays. Little Ladies Day is no exception. The only issue is it's not a holiday most of the world celebrates. For those who don't know, in Japan there are two "love-based" holidays, Valentine's Day, for boys, and White Day, for girls. I think it's obvious that the Valentione's event is based on Valentine's Day, but so as not to have a basic repeat, they changed White day to be less about love for women, and to be about celebrating women, which is a thing in Japan as well. The main reason most of the world might not grasp that Valentine's Day is for guys in Japan is because SE made it more universal, as is the case around the world.

Though honestly I'd love a St Patrick's day event, I want a Lalachuan minion, XD

Oh and to those who say "Reverse Sexism" that's not a thing, though colloquial term used to denote the direction the sexism is coming from; usually the opposite of the norm. In truth, true reverse sexism would be hating your own sex not the opposite. Cause in truth, to reverse something is to flip the direction, in that case it's going in your direction, meaning you hate what you are within that given category. So no there is nothing "reverse" about it; sexism is sexism.

Even though it has been explained a few times: Little Ladies Day is based on Hinamatsuri/Dolls day/Girls Day - not on White Day. Its not linked to Valentines Day anymore and has nothing to do with that - and is instead based on a different, japanese holiday.

ah yes i forgot about that day, thought it was in a different month, though honestly they might of merged the days, but yes this is more accurate. And even then, even though the holiday is called "girls day" in some instances the relationship to girls the way people presume based on the name is wrong, its on equal footing like most other holidays.

We still talking about this? Just accept the fact that you're playing a JP game where in JP, Anime/Otaku/etc is sooo popular that they decorate their trains, cars, buses, airplanes, etc with this stuff. Most guys are gonna prefer the Kawaii and Sugoi (Loli) girls with their Kawaii dress ups and nosebleeds. While there is a moment of female Otakus in JP, it doesn't compare to the male market base. Why do you think many JP MMOs have Collabs with other Animes and stuff? Sure there is content that others won't like and stuff... but it doesn't change the fact that the market for this stuff, is mostly for it's male fanbase. I guarantee you, if this game was JP only, it would be littered with a bunch of Anime Collabs. Take that to the bank.

This is why "appeal to a wider audiences" nonsense doesn't work.

Cause thats where the moneys at. You know how all that otaku merch is so expensive? Cause said otakus WIL buy them, and thus the companies make the most money going after them.

Ok, can OP explain why every Beastmen Rank 8 reward is male only gear and why there is no racial gear for Anata Beastmen tribe (a literally female only beastmen)?
What happened to the gender equality here?

The reason people are saying those things is you are tone deaf. You are choosing to complain about an event in a game that celebrates women while elsewhere in the world real women have to deal with things like income inequality which are much bigger deals. Instead you are choosing to come here to complain about an in-game event that ultimately doesn't matter.

And yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But calling it your opinion doesn't change the fact that its a weird point of view lacking perspective.
