The Hunt Public Shaming Needs to end

I don't ever announce hunts. Like, at all. I don't care about early pullers since I'm an 11 Player. People camped the hell out of NMs back in 11 and if you told them to wait while you get there they'd tell you to piss off and kill it. Which is why I find it funny that the player base in 14 can't handle the way hunts function, they damn sure wouldn't be able to handle it in 11 where lottery spawns existed and 3-5 day spawn windows were a thing. That's how I am unfortunately. If I see a hunt mob I will switch to Summoner and solo it on Titan Egi. If you show up and help? Good for you. Hunts are not meant to be shared publicly, like at all. It defeats the purpose of "The hunt." You are to go out with a small group and are to take the mob down for yourselves, not the entire server. Facepullers don't bother me because they end up dying and we just leave them on the floor anyways.

It's like going to Walmart and someone beats you to the last pack of Chicken or the last few Strawberries on sale. You tell them, "Wait for me." They will probably go, "Hell no." take what is there and then leave. You need to be quick with hunts when they pop. Get to the area they spawn in before the window opens. That will eliminate 99% of your problems hunting. People just camp Aetheryte's which is why I don't hunt with parties, there is always a lazy person and that is the person who complains about not getting credit.

I am a firm believer of free speech. Baseless accusations occur all the time in all sorts of media, news, forums, advertisments, commercials etc. etc. I am not fond of liars, but the truth is the most solid counter to that nonsense. The early pullers will continue to pull early as many has proudly claim to do on these forums, so you don't need accusations to identify them. If you are so thin skinned that you feel you need to control all aspects of your image, then you might as well join North Korea and hack Sony over a silly movie.

Said another proud selfish blankety-blank. The things is the hunt mark is not a physical entity with limited quantity. You get same credit whether a group of 8 gets it or 8 groups of 8 get it. By waiting a bit you are helping everyone, but you'll never get that thru the thick heads of the selfish. That is why those people need to be identified, blacklisted, and excluded from hunt linkshells so the trouble they cause will be contained.

What a terrible analogy. Didn't know only one person gets credit for a hunt.

More like there is a restaurant that will give anybody who shows up on Tuesday 1 free meal. Better not tell anyone about it cause I want it all for myself.

I find a hunt mob then I tell my friends, we form a party and I'll pull whenever the hell I want and I don't care if you cry about it. If you are that much of a baby that you are going to complain about me "early pulling" and not waiting for you then I don't want to play with you anyways. In fact, with the increase hunting from 2.5 updates I pull earlier than I did when they died down in 2.4.

Why is this an issue? Public shaming is griefing (as confirmed by GMs), report the offender and move on. There is no such things an an early pull (also confirmed by GM), so if some one wished to try their strength and pulls an S-rank, the others around it have the choice; let the fool die, or join in. Either way it doesn't matter, the point is that there is a target waiting to be attacked, someone has to attack it, and no one is in charge, so no one get's to say "pull now" or "do not pull now".

It's open world, there are no claims, no camping of hunt marks, there is only the open world, a hunt mark and whoever is around it when it is found. If they choose to attack, who decides if that was an early pull? Certainly not some self appointed judge of all that is well and good in the world riding in on their glow-pony with their over-gear glinting in the daylight.

Seriously, if you are blacklisted because some snowflake thinks you pulled early, guess what, they probably did you a favor. If someone publicly calls you out or worse, report them and move on, they too can be blacklisted....

Keep on lying to yourself about that. People have been reported for early pulling and griefing others from such behavior. And if you are not verbally abusing the early puller, if he feels ashamed for being called out for his actions, that is all fair game. If you do not want to play with other players and don't want to play nice with other players, you do NOT have to short of crossing the line into being a troll and griefing others which is actionable by the GMs. But the other players in response have every right to blacklist and protect their link shells from trouble makers supported by statements you made irresponsibly.

This isn't true.

The GM said early pulling (as defined by the playerbase) isn't against the rules. However, the GM went on to say that as a player, he appreciates it when people wait and don't pull early.

Early pulling IS real.

Early pulling IS NOT illegal.

It's pretty simple. It's a lot like "running a yellow light." It's not illegal to drive through a yellow light, but "running a yellow light" is still a very real thing that's usually not associated with anything positive. That's why we refer to "running a yellow light" with the same negative connotation as "running a red light," which IS against the law.

The point being made was that there is no recourse for early pulling. You can report til the cows come home but no gm will ever act against an individual based on early pulling. It's not against any rule SE made. They can however act on reports of excessive anger responses to early pulling. Wishing cancer on early pullers and shouting from every mountaintop across every zone slandering the name of an early puller can be reported for harassment (as it should be). Rationalize all you like, but the cold truth is, the shamer actually has more to worry about from gms than the puller. The puller is just being impolite (not an offense), the shamer can be reported for harassment.

This whole thing is a player created rules of etiquette. GMs have zero authority in a dispute over player created etiquette rules.

I will put it this way for those too arrogant or ignorant to realize just like on these forums if you publicly name someone in an effort to cause shame, abuse, harassment or distress you will get suspended on here quite often and that also applies to in game. You cannot name players on here for the purpose of public shaming and you can be reported for breaching those same rules in game if seen to do so and if someone wishes to report you for it.

Publicly name shaming via shouting out someone's name followed by such accusations is the same thing, it is done to cause distress, directing people to abuse and harass another player based on your accusation, using mob rule to harass the other player into submission and compliance with your rules and not SE's rules as defined by the GM's which states pulling early is not a punishable offense, harassment however is and public shaming is harassment.

The same rule applies about public shaming whether your doing so on these forums or you do so in game and if you are reported for doing so you are just as likely to get punished by the GM's in game as you are on these forums when you do the same on here. Such activity is classed as harassment and whether on the forums or in game both are subject to SE's rule on harassment.

If you do such things on my server you better pray I do not catch you doing such shouts because if I do see anyone doing these shouts I will report them for harassment which it is, much like doing the same on these forums aka public shaming is punishable by GM's, doing such in game is also.

Why do you think it's weird when it's completely possible and actually quite easy? 1 tank or Titan in your party and you'll get full credit. I routinely get full A-rank credit solo as a summoner.

All I hear when I read these posts is, "Even though other players went out of their way to inform me of this mob's location so I could get credit for it, I will give absolutely none of that consideration back in return."
