So happy about these changes :) Finally I can be proud of my WAR again :)
Anyone else feel like Inner Beast should have just had the 300% increased higher instead of reduced to 100% and given the dmg reduction ala PLD?
It doesn't sound so beastly now.
Plus it would work really well with the new Holmgang to assist healers in getting us back up to 100% HP before the effect drops.
Maybe increase the CD on it for balance purposes.
lol'd, this guy!
Hey SE, Holmgang need a cooldown reduced still please, because while most WAR doesn't consider it useful, a few of us use it for the benefice it provide against boss such as Pudding or Chirada.
On another note, I am happy because I +1'd my Bravura when I did, lots of ppl where saying to me that WAR shouldn't +1 his relic, well... lol
Having tanked on both WAR and PLD I know what I'm talking about...maybe some people don't realize how big of an effect these changes really have...but yeah, while having a combination of both PLD and WAR will be most beneficial now, doesn't change that WAR is definetely stronger than PLD by far with these changes. If you are unable to see that, you might wanna reconsider the outcome of all of these changes combined together in an actual endgame situation, rather than looking at each change on its own...
I like the changes overall, that's not the issue and I won't switch from PLD to WAR just because of this, but still they kinda overdid it xD
Thank you :D
Geared up my WAR with Myth Tomes instead of the PLD because i knew somehow that you´re going to do the right changes.
Thnaks again :o
Dont get so riled up ,Im sure all Jobs will see changes in 2.1,I believe plds will get buffs too but not as much as WAR do to keep them balanced. And as I stated b4, this onlly brings WAR up to par to PLD. PLD still has better mitigation CD's, Stun on demand, Constant 20% Reduction, More Mitigation Cooldowns, and Shield.
Without testing it myself it seems like a bit much.
I'm not worried that paladins won't still be great tanks, I just think if the pendulum has swung too much in the opposite direction paladins might start seeing the same discrimination warriors do from elitists.
Except the Paladin is the mitigation tank not warrior. I was under the impression that warriors tanked by absorbing more damage and having the ability to heal or receive enhanced healing due to their skills. Increasing warriors mitigation makes them more paladin like, but at the same time these changes increase damage output, enmity and potentially health recovery/healing buff. Warrior was - so we've been told by all those keen warriors out there - about the high risks high reward. Buffing Warrior damage makes perfect sense, as does correcting their survivability by evening out their self heal and healing buffs. but giving them a mitigation skill that equates to that of a Paladin? Why? If it's high risk high reward for Warrior, why do you need the additional mitigation if you are gaining a damage buff as well as a self healing buff?
All my friends that play warrior were consistently pissed off (understandably so) because people excluded them from groups because of the perception that warrior was no good. With these changes players who play Paladins will now be pissed off all the time because the prejudice will favor Warriors - who needs a specialist mitigation tank when warrior has better damage, self healing AND mitigation?
Tell me again why the Warrior needs mitigation skills when it's not a mitigation tank.
First off to everyone saying the changes are too much or too extreme, keep in mind they said they are still testing these changes for balance.
Be happy you got this much information about what they're planning to implement.
Along that point..... WHERE IS THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE BARD CHANGES!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
