During boss fights, the tank's health would be going down, down... and he did nothing. He wasn't AFK, because he moved around, but he didn't cast anything. We skimmed through by the skin of our teeth on the first few bosses, but obviously it didn't work on the last one, and after two wipes, the tank and other DPS rage quit. I was left waiting for new members with him (one of which was a high level summoner who ended up carrying the healing) while he hopped around and spammed Bene at me. I was like "why weren't you doing that BEFORE?!"

Except not. They got 2-shot by three little mobs and one of the big lion-y things.
Of course, they might not've if they'd used a cooldown. :V -

Unless I make a huge mistake I'll barely need a heal the whole dungeon and even then it's just party wide damage or a skill that sacrifices some of my own HP. What some people don't understand is that the Healer's primary concern is Tanks and not chain healing people because they tunnel vision.Quote:

Just got fed up healing Stone Vigil and left the group. Tank tanks the second boss right on top of the cannons facing them so I'd get hit and interrupted while trying to operate them. Summoner wouldn't multidot and would only cast his 3 DoTs, nothing else. No Ruin and no aetherflow abilities. Monk didn't know what a positional was, and he didn't care to get out of AoEs either. Mobs were only dying because I was in cleric stance.
I also had a Keeper of the Lake group the other day where the 2 DPS were incapable of attacking the mob carrying the shield in the final fight, and when they did attack it, they didn't do enough damage to kill it together. Let that sink in for a minute. It was only dying because I was in cleric stance, and on our last attempt I had to push healing instead of DPS because of people standing in AoEs. So I left that one too, and the tank was on the same page as I was. -

Hello forums. I just got my WHM started up and am hitting the 30s stride.
I am scared of Bots. They are in my Dungeon Finder all the time.
I don't feel horror as much as I feel guilty leaving those groups or kicking/waiting for replacements. We had to kick a Healer Bot on my Monk, and this really nice WHM came into our group.
He/She inspired me to start clicking the check box to join instances already in progress. Other people need help from bots - join the fight. Be a Human! -

Tanks not getting into their tanking stances, using ALL of their cooldowns immediatly after they've pulled. Doesn't dodge any AoE's, has level 1 rings and 30:ish gear and can't hold aggro. Not even from me, and especially not from the dps.
Guess who gets the blame? :P..... Doesn't help either when they clearly fuck up majorly, and then have attitude problems and put all of the blame on you. As if I can heal through three group pulls + AoE or Boss insta kills.
Happened to me 3 times in a row today.... Holy crap was I happy when I got an even remotely competent Tank the 4th time o.O....
But seriously tanks. Do you really need to use all five defensive cooldowns on two mobs, and then act all surprised when you can't survive three groups + standing in the AoE immediatly afterwards, no matter how much I heal you? -

Just did an A1 run for my last drop this week and got a Warrior and a Dark Knight as tanks. No problems, I thought, until it turned out that both of them were wearing nothing but strength accessories. They were both pretty close to the minimum ilevel requirement as well. Plus, the Warrior never used Defiance, making healing him a real b*tch. Don't get me wrong, A1 isn't that hard to heal normally and we only wiped because of wrong placement of the adds, but it was a lot harder than it usually is, and since the other healer was new, there were some close calls at times.
I don't know exactly how this trend got so widespread, but I hate it, and I'm afraid my FC will kick me out since I won't stop complaining about it when I meet tanks like this. :( One or 2 strength accessories is fine, but tanks (especially Warriors) who like to play pretend they're all DPS sicken me to no end and make me wanna quit healing altogether. -

Just healed A1 normal with my boyfriend as a tank. We didn't get a new bonus, but every single DPS stood in the line AoE at one point or another and repeatedly failed to pick up 1-2 of the adds. Each DPS got 1-2 raises each. x.x Somehow, we only managed to fail to minimize the bomb once and the other healer and I managed to keep the party alive sub 1k MP the rest of the run. We saw 5 jumps before the Oppressers died. >.<

I doubt the warrior wasn't in Defiance at-all though, they were probably stance dancing. You have to be in Defiance and Provoke to get 0.5 off the MT since it copies the other's HP and aggro table. Going from Defiance to Deliverance shaves off -25% HP so that is probably part of what you saw. It may not have been damage being taken, just the Defiance max HP buff going on/off by dancing. Now they still have access to good cooldowns like Vengenece, if they don't needlessly burn them trying to get more Abandon stacks. It really comes down to warrior game play, and how much they can trust healers. STR alone isn't the issue.
