I think it should give you the opportunity to drop something else in order to get the new item...that should not be hard for them to do. I do agree with the others though...you have to pay attention when it warns you that you are running low on inventory slots...The warnin has always kept me safe.Quote:

I didnt read the last few pages and idk if this was already said but regarding the OP, FFXI has a treasure list where your drops go when your inventory is full or if there is at least one other person in a party with you. Which gives u time to toss stuff if you are full and/or lot if you need it.
And its also on the ps2 so yeah...I don't see why a loot list can't be implemented outside of dungeons in 2013. -

Currently, when your available inventory space is getting low, a message will appear alerting you to the fact that you're running out of space. This was created so that users could plan accordingly before entering into a dungeon or other content. As such, we do not have any plans for implementing a system that will place items into a pool or similar area in the event that your inventory is full. -

It never ceases to shock me how many people don't think we need more inventory space in this game...Aside from the ability to push all your inventory forward to the first 2 or 3 bag so we can see what we actually have in available space. It takes forever to sort thru your inventory in this game...you have to be exactly on the right spot in the square to get the item to move or else it just plops back where it was...
Just because it says you have x number of spaces left in your inventory doesn't mean a thing if we didn't know the item is lost once your inventory is full...I lost many toadskins before i noticed that the item is lost in my notes screen (thru the gil selling spam messages)...
PLEASE give us more inventory space..I will purchase it...I always have in the past. Yes I have every proff, and have many mats from those prof on my char...becuase i mine when i find new areas to mine and botany in new areas i come to...and fish...etc etc etc this game needs more space! -

They limit your inventory so you have to manage it. Its not about server constraints. If you let your inventory and your retainer's inventory get full, you are hoarding and need to stop.

Should we keep those old Green/Pink drops for re-use in lower level instances or should we be converting them once we upgrade to minimize the clutter?
Seems I went to a lot of hard work to get my Aetherial such and such. But I've got a couple full bags of those pinks and greens. I'm just not sure if I should keep my starting dungeons gear set, my hala gear set, my maw gear set, etc, or if I should just use my current best gear via level sync (higher repair costs for lower dungeons vs convert for materia vs for vanity purposes of full lower dungeon sets, etc, etc, etc so on and so forth). -

Honestly I would just like more retainers myself. As far as personal it's fine for me those that are crying about it being full will just be doing the same thing if they raised it so it would be an endless cycle of I'm full they raise. One or two more retainers or possibly once housing is open there will be storage options would be fine with me. Someone mentioned an armoire but that is kind of useless as it is since it only holds event armor from what I have seen. Someone else mentioned the green and pink lower level gear, I myself like to keep it so I don't have to run for it again with new jobs that might release and can use it. In house storage would be a good option.

But seriously this game gives you one slot inventory, two retainers, the armory system, amoire chest whatever it is called, and a FC chest how much inventory is really needed I am a crafter I use both my retainer stuff I plan on selling and crafting I put in my first retainer gear, Special gearsets I collected from dungeons like Brayflox that I plan on using when I level another class or use once Vanity Slots come out I put in the other. I will suggest however, that it would be nice to have a different way to maintain Materia. Even without trying to hoard at all, if I just want 1 of each that's 100 slots. And it could be fair to want 1 of each because going Tier IV is not always needed (or beneficial). Not 100 extra slots for any use, just more space for Materia only (like Crystals). But perhaps even cap that at 5 or 10 each so we do not hoard. -

Before rolling on it, one has plenty of time to make sure one has space for it. If adventuring one always low on space, adventuring one can always monitor space left and make sure space is made.
