This game is the best Asian MMO I've played... ever. I absolutely love the "feel" to the game. Furthermore, boss mechanics are actually fun, unlike GW2 where I can just spam auto-attack and down a dragon.

I'd prefer if all companies just worked together to make VRMMO a reality and SAO soon after... then we could all never log out of the game and never go to forums again.
Hi Durzo :)
I felt pretty much like you at the start, and I was "scared" of "it's just happening again".
I'm 50 for a while now, and enjoying the game a lot, I'm actually very pumped and every day more at what is coming at the end game.
I'm a hardcore EQ1 player, and played everything else (not FFXI, and not a ridiculously big fan of FF).
Let me tell you a few things I experienced:
- It is true that it's mostly spamming 1-2 skills on EVERY class, I saw this pre-30s and I was dead worried of this game being so dull and with a great lack of combat options. This totally changed at 35-40+ for me (monk), and now in the end have a plethora of skills and rotations to do
- The GCD is something that worried me, and I hate it, for non-casters it's ridiculously slow. Since I'm a monk and have high skill speed I don't have this issue anymore, don't know about your future
- Dungeons are dull and stupid, totally agree and also felt like this. From level 34 on, this will change, and they will be more dynamic and require more brains, at 50 many dungeons (and hard modes) are starting to be really hard and fun
- The endgame seems really built up and polished, there's sets of armor, upgrades, you know what to farm, different options to gear up, and you can see your progression path ahead, dungeons at early 50 (hard modes) are obvious gear checks over and over
- Questing is annoying, FATEs to, I hate the lack of promoting grouping, elite areas, and better dungeon run rewards (in EXP terms), but well... that's a commnon trend lately
Summarizing, the game is increadibly repetitive, easy and dull up to level 35, from there on it starts getting more challenging (dungeons), but the real fun will start from 44-50 on.
I agree with you it took too long for the game to become challenging or dynamic
there is no revealing "beyond topless" in games for mass production.
Reason is they'd have to be rated AO - which is 18+/21+ in some areas - and would have no advertising in public and all sold would have to be carded and put in a bag hiding the product itself (usually flat black) also no US retailers are allowed to sell this sort of product as it is considered "Adult" - which means you won't find it on shelves anywhere. The only places that "could" sell them, don't usually carry Video Games, just Movies, board games, clothing and... etc items.
This is why Sideboob and revealing tops/high details gets the M rating even though it's "not that much farther" then what T show.
Older games tended to rate T when they would now be rated M as well. ESRB got a lot stricter in the last few years.

I see your lengthy journey to level 30 has given you incredible insight as to how the whole game plays.
One thing I can say WoW has on this easily is the fact that the aoe is responsive compared to this game. It's so slow.. and 1/2 of the time you're hit even when you're so far away it's not even funny.
WoW revolves too much around doing DPS and topping charts(healer or DPS).. but if you look at our forums here.. it's the same thing and there isn't even a meter implemented yet and people are going crazy over highest DPS class.
This game better add in a more responsive system and have a very hard end game raid that gets content added in little by little or it's going to be BORING.
No MMO requires too much advance skills other than heroic/hard modes. If you've raided and completed hardmodes in current content in WoW... log on and let's compare. I'm curious to see these people's that say WoW's so easy character. I doubt half of them even raided heroic mode in current content. Most people can't do it.
Well I will agree with you on most of your points, but in the end what matters to me is that I have fun when I am able to login. (a login process by the way has been absolutely atrocious)
Essentially what I am saying is this, I have fun when I am playing, lots of fun. You are spot on with a lot of your points, no really new game mechanics or systems, but still I just have so much fun when I am on. It is really has simple has that. Some folks like to boot up there Atari/Nintendo/(Name of Random System/Game) and just play it for the simple fact they have fun with it, regardless of its flaws. So while this game is not revolutionary, it is fun for me and I can only hope everything is working has it should once their horrible mess of a RELAUNCH has been rectified.
My fear is that all these login issues will still exist after their "fixes" and the game will indeed die off. No amount of fanboy pride will be able to defend their lack of performance after tomorrow (though many will try).
Another thing the 2.5 sec CD does is it means you DPS at a slower rate, which means you actually have to think tactically about using your damage boosters at the right time, maybe bringing that second bard rather than another dps. Also if you are only level thirty and haven't experienced endgame, how can you bitch about the game as a whole? If an endgame raider could chime in, and i know there are several guilds out there already, how is the current end game full party content? I know there aren't raids in yet per se, but what about the 8 man content. Are the mechanics of the fight complex enough that you don't notice the 2.5 sec CD? How are the skill rotation like?
The game right now is very "raw" meaning once things smooth out from launch (about a month) they -should- start working on player feedback.
Vanilla WoW was pretty much the same way when it came out and personally was at it's best during Wrath of the Lich King however back then it was spam scorch till ignite and then start rolling with fireball + fireblast (if you played a fire mage).
Also a huge part of this game is cross-skill (which I thoroughly enjoy).
Once they get expansions and new content rolling I am sure things will change for the better; SE just needs to listen to community feedback and make decisions around that and you are pretty much golden.
Also let us not forget that there are PS3 players on this MMO unlike the others; events need to be tailored to our more casually paced brothers and sisters (potentially reasoning behind the GCD as they need to toggle hotbars and such).
