But that's a small pop of people afking. It would get rid of most of em. It always does.

I'm sure SE can work around an autorun exploit. I mean if someone autoruns for 20-30 minutes without any other action, just maybe they should get the boot.
True. The main problem is the substandard server capacity in place at the moment. However, AFK'ers are a major part of the problem at hand.
With so many people simply staying idle as the sleep or work and keeping those slots occupied for no reason, they're preventing the hundreds of others who also want to play the game from actually playing. Adding unnecessary congestion to the unprepared servers. Simply because they wish to avoid the trouble of waiting.
Personally, I don't think it's right to make others suffer for your own sake.
If the people who AFK for hours on end would be a bit more selfless, the errors wouldn't be anywhere near as constant as they are currently. Just log off when you're done for the day. That's all you have to do.
And this is coming from someone who doesn't even own the game yet. Meaning I can look at this situation from a rational standpoint.
Those who are frustrated have the right to complain, but actions such as these only make the problem worse than it needs to be. I implore you to just try and be patient. Be polite enough to log off when you're done so that others can play. You're not the only one that has to deal with these issues.
Speak for yourself.
But your reason is justified. I'm sure about 10% of the people have the same mind frame as you but then there is the 90% that will just leave the game on over night while they go to bed or go to work. That right there is about 16 hours of no play time if you follow 8 hours of sleep and work full time. Only leaving 8 hours of game time to play. Also I would like to point out the gil sellers. I've seen mass mobs of Elzen ARC butt buddy's all following a Lalafell CNJ. I would see them attack MoBs till they die, not do anything and then somehow get up and start over again. Not once logging out.
So you mean to tell me that 90% of each server population consists of AFKers? 4500/5000 = 0.9 for all those whiz kids....now I know you AFK haters are full of shit. And the eight people that liked this post are dumber than the next....all this time your bitching you could be trying to log in or AFK (like me while im working)
You guys are crazy if you think 90% of the people have these amazing morals, I hate to break it to you but most people these days couldn't care less about others. I honestly believe most of u guys complaining about the afkers would do the exact same thing if you could actually log in.
That being said, you are a DAMN FOOL if you log out until they fix the problems.
Haha omg some of you seriously think the majority of players are AFK. Hooooly cow.
I haven't encountered this issue too much, but when I know that I am going to be away from my computer for an hour or more, I log off. Sure, I know that I may not get back on as soon as I return, but it would just be rude of me to not log off. Also, I can't sleep with my computer left on. The lights from the tower and mouse would prevent me from sleeping, not to mention how hot it makes my room.
Being able to resume playing upon return is the goal, and due to the server issues we're experiencing, going AFK in lieu of logging out is the best way to do this. This act isn't out of ill will towards others' desires to play. Some folks just got their feelings hurt when they felt they were being screwed by "AFKers" instead of SE's poor server status. Their anger is justifiable but misdirected, that's all, and I find it humorous. Please don't start with that "son, kiddo, junior" garbage; you're not fooling anyone.
Then they are liable to being caught as botters.
Edited: Dorkula was responding to someone who said his suggestion of using the auto-run to beat being flagged as AFK (and hence becoming a candidate for being kciked) would not work. It would seem that he is now suggesting a way to automate hitting of buttons... Which is botting.
