No QUEUE, just 1017. Forever.

I just hate how I bought another CE of the game to support the cause like I'm sure so many other have and am not able to play the game. I mean I'm such a fan of FF i basically payed 80 bucks for a PS3 copy almost just for the early access. Now with about 4-5 of play time it wasn't even close to worth it. On the other hand ima still be here clicking that start bottom. :( hope something works out soon. Just don't seem right, it's not beta no more or even Launch. It's early access which people are charged for.

To everyone complaining about not being placed in a queue to enter the world when there is an opening, there is a queue. Over the course of the last 7 hours that I've been trying to log in, I've been placed into a queue a total of three times. The thing is, every time I've been placed into a queue, I still got kicked out of it with a 1017 before actually getting in. :mad:

Still unable to access game since yesterday... 1017 i hate you... what about 08/27 ? you think it'll be solve?

There having issues with this many of us, now give all the PS3 users and the PC users that haven't got a code or haven't got the game yet..... That being said i really really really really really really really really really hope that SE gets there shit together and fixes this by then although i would like to get back into EA at least once before actual release.

They need a complaining forum to post on this isn't tech support! I haven't been able to play for long either but it isn't worth getting all upset over. Go outside for a few moments, read a book, and relax.

Haven't been able to play all day. I have better things to do than spend an hour trying to log in. Maybe ten minutes, but then on to other things. Three separate times I've tried and can't get in.
Hilariously, it looks like the JP worlds couldn't be loaded for a bit. But this showed that no matter where you are, it checks for the JP worlds first because it would pause for a few seconds before letting me try to log in. That is silly. I'm in NA, it should look for those first.
Overall, the whole bit about queues and idle-outs shouldn't even be a thing. I'm sorry but if a server can only hold 5000 characters, then all 5000 should be able to log in at the same time. Period. Whatever number it is. And if you have half a million pre orders two days after the end of open beta, then you should have enough servers to accommodate that many players and more. Period.
The worst part is that 1017 is meaningless. Saying the world is full and to wait for an opening is no help at all when we have no way to tell if there is an opening.

I was being optimistic earlier and not going post anything about this situation in hopes they would get a handle on things, "I figured hey things happen just give them time to fix it" right?

Early access started yesterday, we have had multiple issues all of which I understand takes time to fix. However today has been worse than beta, I got on earlier today got a 1 level in before 90000 kicked me out. Then i find that we have to wait do to emergency maint. (ok cool) after said maint. i find im in the same boat as many here unable to play at all do to the severe limit on players logging in (No queue, No ability to log in as sometime the servers list doesn't update at all) essentially turning everyones early access to a few hours of gameplay withi the past few days.

Then you get on the forums only to see ppl defending these unacceptable issues. I have pretty much given up on EA as its been two days and ive been successfully online a total of 5-6 hours within the past two days. I am at this point worried about what my money has got me as we are less than a day and a half away from the official launch of the game, I want to remain hopeful but sadly things are just not good, I can't even recommend this to my friends interested in playing as I myself can't even play long enough to slightly advance the story!

I'm really not bothered by all this, so long as we are running smooth by Tuesday I won't complain, however what is REALLY bothering me though is that SE hasn't said a thing about this 1017 and its been going on for 6+ hours :/

Let us know when it'll be fixed already! Or at least mention it so we know you're working on it ><

I think that this situation is their fix.

Yes, please bring back the queue at least. I understand there's congestion issues, but if we could at least get in the 'waiting room' and not have to keep trying to log in over n over it'd be much nicer. Also, I think we should as a group put pressure on people at this time to not just sit on the game - if you know you're going to be afk for awhile please logout! - maybe even, just til the congestion/server issues are repaired, auto kick players inactive for an hour or so....

I've been behind SE throughout this whole thing, but this is bullshit. Give us options, let us transfer to a less populated server or something. Just locking us out of the game is unacceptable. If you were fortunate enough to not get kicked earlier, you get to play, otherwise too bad! I understand these are "peak" hours, but I was playing earlier and got booted from server and now can't get back in.

hey everyone, just letting you know they did update us somewhat, but they are putting the updates on the new lodestone website. The update has been there for a couple of hours and it stats an old login error has resurfaced and they have now put SEVERE login Restrictions on to stabilize the servers.

[Follow-up] Login Limitation After Emergency Maintenance (Aug. 25): Follow-up 3
We have confirmed that the issues on the North American/European data center Worlds have resurfaced. Therefore, we have placed a severe login restriction in order to stabilize the servers.

While you may continue to have a difficult time logging into the game, please note that the issue is being addressed, and new updates will follow as additional information becomes available.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing everyone for an extended period, but we would like to ask for your continued cooperation to make this a stable environment.

I just hope that once they stabilize the servers that my 3102 goes away. Ugh.

Here's the thing...is the server really full? Or is it just an error message and no one is able to log in, is there any way of getting in touch with someone who is playing in one of the servers giving back the 1017 message?

I got the 1017, 90000, and others today.....I was able to log in twice for probably a total of 30 mins each time after constantly trying to login in over and over for about 20 mins....anyway I got in and was kicked out after 30 mins when loading from one zone to another.......which was worse I would rather have just not got in at all today.....sucks but what you gonna do

The servers are not full to my understanding. they are just stopping more players from logging on until they can solve the issue. anyone who is on already and signs out or gets DC'ed will most likely not get back on until after the "fix". This is why we see now response as to error 1017, I think they put that there themselves. we just have to wait til next update saying we are good to log in again. please start checking the New Lodestone site 1st. this will be where info is posted 1st. good Luck getting a response here at the forums, they are a mess currently.

7 and a half hours and still counting :( im a patient person but i dont like this try again later and see....especially when thats what i been doing and still cant get on....def need the queue system back on at least then ppl know whats going on then just radomness.

I find it a bit frustrating that 99% of these issues are on the NA/EU servers. When these errors pop up, I can usually log in on my JP server characters with no issues. What gives? :confused:

This is terrible... I've been a fanboy this whole time, didn't complain about a thing. But this is too much. 2 years a 4 (7 lol) betas later, we get "Legacy" status (yay) and our prize is an "early release" where we can't even log in. Fed up with this sh!t. This is just too much SE. This should have been BEYOND fixed by now, and every time the servers die I can't find a Info update from you guys for hours.. Isn't someone appointed for this kind of thing? WTF is the pop limit and WTMFF happened to the queues? Removing them and expecting us to guess, pray, or f*ck off is a pretty bad PR move at this point. Sadface.

EXACTLY! We're not volunteers/beta testers anymore. I dealt with it for p4 because we weren't customers and it was a part of the 'job', errors glitches and issues come with the territory. But we've paid for the game, sometimes far far in advance, we're customers now - and this is our reward.

Now, I'm not joining the riot brigade.... but I do want SE to understand that we are justifiably miffed. They aren't answering our questions. They aren't even acknowledging them. Why are the jp servers still up and without problems? Why are the NA/EU servers crashing and burning? Why is this shite even happening - how could they NOT know how many people would join for early access? Why the hell can't they even try to keep us updated - how hard is it to post and say "Hey, sorry peeps! Techs are busy doing such and such!! Totally borked the servers. No worries, we're working on it! ^_^y " I mean.. really. Is that all too much to ask?

We have speculations and rumors, but I want explanations! Hell, at this point I'd be happy with some dude/chick at least keeping us semi-updated so we don't feel completely ignored. *sigh*

12+ hours Diabolos

So we got people who are afk for the night, not logging off, and the rest of us can't get, isn't about time to add something to boot people are idle for longer than 15 minutes like other games have?

THIS is what I find unacceptable out of everything. Want to limit number of people on a server? Alright, annoying, but with the queue I'll at least know when I can play. WRONG! They limit the number in the queue also. Which is....dumb. What good is a queue that can't handle everyone that needs to queue. Launch issues I understand some of, but the disregard for the fan base by issuing error codes instead of queues is absolutely ridiculous in 2013.

New MMO's launch with overflow protection, like a GW2 overflow server, or a queue system that handles a large amount of people. I feel like this is Warcraft or Rift launch. Both of those games are old in terms of MMO's now. I shouldn't be comparing a AAA title game launch in 2013 to anything that old.

"... so if you are currently unable to login, please try again at a later time." We try again and again at a later time but the login limitation happen so often that it's like an endless loop?

I was put into a queue of 100 then I got "world full message" going on hour 5 of this.

I was in queue number 46 which is about a minute wait, 5 seconds later 1017.
