I understand. In this case, I suppose time will tell and hopefully it'll be sorted out.

Go to a message you received from SE before in your outlook.
Right Click -> Message Options
Look at the bottom where it says Internet Headers
Scroll through and see if you have an outside spam filter checking your emails. (generally towards the bottom of the string)
Examples would be trend micro, novani etc
Sometimes another source used by Comcast can filter emails and if you have outlook 2007 or up it will tell you
Ouch! That would be a total boner if you didn't. But i'm sure your invite will come within the next few days.
Hope for the best, but always plan for the worst I say. I just expect to get in right before release anymore. -.-; /sigh
Talked to a few other people pretty sure it is Comcast just flat out blocking the email as in they won't show up there is no way to view them. Only people I know of that didn't get a beta invite with legacy had Comcast. They have done this before with other things, as part of their service they will block something if they think its a mass mailing or spam.
Sent in a support ticket but I don't think anything will come out of that because they said they won't respond to beta issues.
At the risk of sounding ignorant, is there any way to let a comcast person know what's going on? Forgive me if it's a straight out no, the service isn't used in my country so I'm not exactly sure.
Wow that might really be bad... Hopefully SE will address the issue or you guys might never get into the beta...
Apparently some legacy didn't get their email and they are all comcast... If anyone is comcast they should probably set up a non comcast secondary email to their account.
Well where I'm getting at is.. I can check my e-mail on multiple computers, phones, tablets, etc.. So if my home ISP is Comcast, I have to worry about not getting e-mails even when I'm at work on a different internet service? That's what I'm not understanding. Unless comcast has an e-mail also that I don't know about. If so, I get it lol.
Their email is @comcast.net(or .com). When emails come into your mailbox, ie in Comcast's servers, they decide this email is spam and delete it. So when you check your mail, it's not there. They delete it before it really even hits your inbox.
Should always ask if you want certain email marked as spam, but that would be too much work for some people so the filters are automatic most of the time.
They're pretty rare, and to be honest I don't remember the name of the last one I registered on that wouldn't allow like a hotmail/yahoo/gmail account. I just know I've seen it before and that's why having an e-mail account with your ISP can be helpful in some cases.
Well we have been pretty vocal about it hear so hopefully the reps will bring it up. ^^
Same issue here @comcast.net account.
Like my original post if you can so the community reps may look into it.
This is pretty crazy because I changed my email from my comcast one to my gmail one when they announced to check your emails. Knowing how stupid comcast email is XD.
Heck I mighta been in Alpha all along and never knew it.
Just as an extra note there is a spam filter that defaults to on like hidden way up in the admin account on comcast email apparently. I have it turned super off (i didnt turn it on i know that much.) now and am waiting a support ticket from comcast as well. Just a note: i have gotten emails from ffxiv-noreply@square-enix.com before so i have no idea why this happened.
Well, I didn't get the email either and I don't use Comcast. My email is registered and I receive emails regularly from SE but I never got my Alpha invite email either, I had to check my service options to know that I was invited to the Alpha.
since this seems to be the main thread for this let me explain. I made the first thread about the issue.
If Comcast gets too many users clicking spam on emails, it will make it spam for everyone. If it exceeds a certain amount, they will IP BAN the ip the email is coming from. that means it does not go into a spam folder, it never arrives. SE gets a returned email saying undelivered email.
At that point, it is up to Square Enix to contact comcast and get it unblocked.
This is the website for that http://postmaster.comcast.net/block-...l-request.html
Odds are its the same IP that sent the beta invites that send the newsletters or ads for their games which people might click as spam and thus marking everything SE sends to comcast emails as spam.
SE offers no support for Beta Issues so what should we do? I can give them an alternate email address but that doesn't help when there is no customer support for beta issues.
I said in the other thread mayb they can resend codes via 2nd e-mails since they are linked to the SE account.
