Wow they went all out for the realism then...
Square Enix has made me leak.....
good video, mostly from the end of the world video, they just added a continuation
All my feels!
is good to see that some of the important npc's from 1.0 have survived. I have a feeling that Yoshi p will be doing more vids showing more npc's that lived.
Anyway I guess ill be dual boxing in the beta since im a legacy member. we still have to apply if we wanted to play the console version. I guess that's fair
Why, how intriguing! Thank you for this illuminating indication. ^.^ I are have luverzez thou for you.
I don't respond to you to disagree with you. You certainly have the rights to your critique. I, myself, wondered for a moment why the video moved here and there. But I considered that they called this a prologue, which often sets up the events in the bulk of a (let's say) "novel", but doesn't necessarily have to be a clear image of said events to be had in the novel. It's a rather sneaky way for an author to bring together some of the highlights of the story to catch reader's interest early without having to work for it later (Oh dear, I'm not selling this very well, am I?). I also considered the title sequence of Japanese animes and the rest of the video (after the End of the Era portion) reminds me of the way said title sequences are put together (I'm displaying ethnocentrism here, I fear).
What are your thoughts on what I have said? I sincerely hope I didn't make a weak analogy...I loathe having to read through one of those...I doth apologize if you had to suffer one at my hand! :o
EDIT: Would someone be so kind as to provide various screenshots of the suspected Survival Mark? I keep missing it in the video. I'm so sorry.
x____X someone help me I've fallen and I can't get up ... amazing... still wondering what happened with during Bahumuts destruction : < I guess that's the story for 2.0 though =p woooo just what i needed to wake up too

They all have this mark on their clothes. I'm guessing that's the one ^^
The mark is only visible on costumes for members of the circle of knowing.
Devs have confirmed that plot-centric characters are getting costume improvements.
Ergo, the argument that this eye is the survival mark is exceedingly weak.

He has the same mark...
SE needs to enable comments on the video. I can't see how -anyone- can say anything negative about this. They have out-drama'd FFXI, which honestly had one of the best and most emotional openings of any game out there.
It's like they did everything perfectly. I couldn't be happier.
Not sure what you mean by body? you mean cloth or our skin? if you mean it's not going to be on our skin then that wrong Yoshi-p said it going to be a tattoo we can turn off and on whenever we like.
yoshi-p said he wont release how the tattoo look just yet once we closer to release he would show it or maybe sometime around beta.
Well two of the heroes have the mark and that clock thing already... so we probably need to see if any more of them have them on the next videos...
And since two npc's have the mark on their clothes... I think we could assume we may have a choice of placement of the mark....
A set of dirty, battle-worn AF and chocobos? :p (Not to mention Derplander left his Bravura behind so if anything he comes into ARR with less. ;)).
As for that eye mark on Y'shtola's outfit, perhaps it's meant to represent the Echo/Path of the Twelve? (although from what I was aware it was never stated directly in 1.0 that the members of the Circle have the Echo, during the Gridania storyline in one cutscene Papalymo actually mentions 'the Echo has sounded', suggesting that he at least knows of it's existence - not to mention he and Yda actually shared an Echo-vision with the player during that mission, viewing Khrimm torching the Hedgetree, so it's highly likely they too are Echo-users). The image of an open eye does seem to hint at the power of the Echo and those 'awakened' to it.
Or maybe I'm just reading far too much into something that Square Enix Visual Works probably just threw into that video to troll us. :P
I am so excited for FFXIV ARR. :D
I got goosebumps from watching the trailer ^.^
This is the only thing I read related to it tbh, and it doesn't say it's a tattoo... Only some kind of mark.
I might be wrong though, where did you read that it's a tattoo?
EDIT: Translation is done by the ultimate subligar king Reinheart
Do you know how hard it would be to put the logo on every cloth in eorzea and make sure it fit and you can see it? I don't think the tattoo would be on your cloths i think it going to be on your skin that more easy to do them make sure every gear from ARR too day that ffxiv look good with the logo. If it going to be on the cloth it would be the starting gear and that it you wont see it on every gear in the game that just make no sense.
I think there just on them because they don't change cloth and they have a tattoo showing from circle of knowing. Not saying your wrong just very unlikely to be on every cloth in the game.
For the strange steam-punk like clock and goggles devices the Circle have, maybe it's to measure distortions in the aether? From all the gobbledeegook that Erik used it seems possible to me anyway. Hell, maybe they are even awaiting Derplander and his team of adventurer's (the players) return by hoping to find a distortion large enough to return us back from the rift.
No, the video clearly showed his Bravura lying on the ground next to him with it's blade sharp end down towards the end of the End of an Era part - you can still see it lying there with it's handle sticking up after Lou teleports him into the Rift just as Megaflare swamps the area.
So yeah, he kind of violated the fundamentals of the Armoury System with that one. ;)
Ah, not trolling. Only watched the Aug '12 video once when it was released, so just remembered from back then. Didn't register that this is the same video with the extended scenes in a different order to form a continuous narrative.
Damn me for expecting something new^^
That was good, and yes it just makes the anticipation that much more, and NO there not gonna tell you everything about every question you have about what happened in one video.
man the days just seem to get longer as we get closer
i remember reading it somewhere that yoshi-p said it it's going to be a mark what else would it be? you think it be easy to add a mark to every cloth in the game to make sure every Legacy can see it somewhere that pick on there cloth? I remember people asking for logo to be put on cloth for there free company and yoshi-p said they think about it that be a lot of data to store so they be only do it for a few item like shields.
What else could it be beside a simple tattoo they may have it on there cloth because they don't change gear and they have circle of knowing tattoo already on them. People really need to stop looking into it so much it simple fact that reason they have it on there cloth is due to there other tattoo they just can't put it somewhere else on there body so people can see it there cloth make the most sense and that only for the NPC that got saved. Us players could pick it on our skin anywhere that make the most sense and seeing how i know i read that somewhere i'm sure it be just that a tattoo on your body that you can pick.
This makes a lot of sense ^^ but it could still be this mark that's on our skin, no? They already have a mark to prove they are of the circle of knowing, so this mark signifies something else. Them being survivors (like us)? or Echo/ Path of the twelve like Enkidoh mentioned above?
I find it kinda hilarious in one way. Perhaps Midlander found his Bravura underneath his inn room bed just like many of us during the finale 11 days, hence all of us losing the relics that were granted to us by the twelve simply because we dropped the damn thing right before we were cast into the future.
If you played alpha and you saw the tattoo options you can tell that it have a wide range of area you can put the tattoo i hoping they also allow us to put it on our neck or arm i don't really like a tattoo on our face but i'm sure that just what they going to do which make sense.
Maybe the mark they have on there cloth is the tattoo what get to pick which look nice enough on your neck not sure on your face but i'm sure people would pick that and if you get sick of it you can always turn it off on and on when you like.
I think the marked on there cloths is being a survivor but then again it seem like they did not get a time skip like we did they seem like they live there life and only us hero's got the time skip. The mark could still be the survivor mark and we just end up getting it. I mean it's a tattoo right? so i'm guessing they just end up giving us our mark by someone in the game but we just don't get to see it or maybe we do there just not enough information on it.
That best i know it going to be a mark on our body that make more sense then SE working to make sure the mark can be view by every color cloth/armor in the game that would take a lot of time and money and also a lot of memory to store it on there HDDs
I hope so too that be pretty cool or maybe the mark is just there free company? i mean it may not even be the same mark we get for being saved we also have to think about that also.
OH sweet cheezus I nearly fainted seeing Than @.@;;;; *plays part over and over again* Soooooo hot ><
Enough said....

I do have some questions, but those can wait till I hit the story... and here's hoping it's explained... just hope it's not like rift you start year 2000 after everything is to ashes, and get sent back in time to prevent it from happening...
