So yes, I feel really sorry, I really regret not doing it, but I can't say it's unfair, or that I feel cheated in any way.

Heres my feelings on the OP's post. I am a legacy member, but i am also a player who didnt sit there and play final fantasy XIV all the time either. I gave square enix the monthly fees, call me crazy stupid whatever because i believe in them. I believe they can craft a game thats worthy of the final fantasy moniker. I believe they can turn final fantasy XIV into the game we all hoped it would be. Did i play 1.0 like crazy, no. Did i like 1.0, not really. But, i do believe that square is taking final fantasy XIV: a realm reborn very seriously, and that is why i provided them with the monthly fees they need to keep this game alive. Im sure alot of you are going to say oh man that guys an idiot for wasting his money like that. To me, if they can deliver an online final fantasy experience like no other, then it was worth spending the money to see A Realm Reborn succeed. So to answer the OPs question, no i dont feel left out. You know why? Because i know i was there since day 1 when the game first released and my legacy badge on my character select screen reminds me of that.

SE should have left October fully available, they should have also supplied better dates on their main page - but getting one character to level 50 hardly shows dedication. My BLM was casually played to level 50 in 7 days.

If you had friends PL you, you could have a level 50 in a day to day and a half. (Also this issue has been brought up a few times before - SE has shown no desire to respond to the many threads in the past, I assume your chances of getting any kind of official -anything- is pretty much zero). I dont say that with joy but I say it because I've been the head of SE missplay of legacy in a few threads and SE never made any response, and as it being so late (the server shutting down in a few days) for your sake I'd just try to move on.

I think my new gripe will be how easy we got it compared to how it will (I think at least) be in ARR. Way easier to level and then hence all the items were way easier to obtain, not to mention Atomos, Garuda, leve quest abuses, and better pricing - oh and a bunch of exlusive items. Pack of pampered snow flakes I feel we are.. lol

Wish SE could maintain a more consistent difficulty as they are producing an MMORPG.

Please dude look at what you said >.> it takes about a day if someone pl's you 1-50 well about 8-12hours and the quest line about 2-3 hours if that. so how is that in anyway worth a timeline of being legacy? now i know myself and thousands of others that have been playing for a long time and "PAID for a total of 90 days or 3 payments of 1 month each" deserve our legacy if you had done the same you would be legacy as well if you had not paid the 90 days you probably haven't played that time length either and in what way do you deserve legacy? following a forum doesn't mean much, and watching videos doesn't either. they gave legacy to those that paid to play for at least 3 months and thus also helped keep income going to SE to pay yoshi and the team to make AAR.

edit: also "being with the game from the start" doesnt mean you played a month or two then quite then came back... it means you were there starting between alpha, beta, CE launch, or normal launch and played a majority of the time the game has been released in which case most of those people are like myself and nearing almost all 50's not 1 or 2 lvl 50's if you played for 2 months, left and followed some news on the game then came back in like June/august of 2012 you haven't been with it since the start lol.

The Legacy Status is for those who have payed for at least 3 months worth of their subscription after January 2012, and prior to the end of September (give or take...recalling off the top of my head).

Did you do that? Because if you did, you'd be a Legacy Member.

The Legacy status has nothing to do with your job levels. You can have all Lv1 and still be a Legacy Member if you fulfilled the subcription requirements and such.
