What other areas are they're for that type of exp/sb party?
I have seen them in Copperbell mines, on the PL Camp with the room full of lv45 humanoid that aggros when you run. (Forgot their names).
Same linkshell was there. They tried to MPK me and my party (which is a violation) unlike "suspected RMT that cannot be proven" and I think they got jailed, because they suddently depopped, without teleporting...
So yeah GM calls works, as long as they breach the rules.
(Just noticed someone called Patchouli on OP screenshot <3 :o)
You can do it at cedarwood right now using the 75 cactuars. Its great fun since they spam holy at that camp doing the leve there over and over.
Also, while I do think that Gm calls work over time, this "Special Task Force" i keep hearing about must be run by a monkey humping a football. Well over half the RMT's I see running around have Gobbue mounts. I am not sure what is so hard about spotting these guys and banning them, but I guess thats what puts the "Special" in their title.
If its just that they don't have time, then let us do it :p I would gladly spend an hour a day down at cedarwood with the banhammer. The number of Lala dudes named Wkjg Vsgh would drop dramatically in the first week.
Pull the princess off to the side (can be your normal spot or the really old spot up near the exit portal that appears when you kill her/marshell) and just tank her and let the guard heal her as your mages aoe fire to kill the NEVER ENDING ant spawns.
As long as you dont kill the princess the ants will keep spawning and the guards will keep healing her to full. The guard will die eventually to fire but not after healing any damage your previous fire's did to kill the ants.
Might take a few tries to get your spot/timing down but when you get it flowing the SB return is the best in the game I believe.
You really aren't expecting common courtesy from RMT's are you? I really hope something is done about them in 2.0. At least not have them be so blatant. The whole RMT thing is a big nightmare that turned a lot of people off in FFXI. With this game in a such a precarious state, it wouldn't be good for new people to log in and see a bunch of sssss ddddd character's running around in unison. Will bring back bad FFXI memories and how nothing was affordable.
here is an soultion do it like in guild wars 2 lets say u in a pt and i attack and get final kill your pt get exp and loot and i get exp and loot the loot and exp is in a seperate gue for each player i love the system arena net made if se did the same then rmt wont be so probmatic and it a win/win for all
At least im not the only one dealing with these a-holes haha
Nor to they ban / jail 20 mins after 2 calls either. Recent PT with LS at the wolf camp, for a good 30 mins we were MPK'ed by the RMT doing wtfever they were doing there. After the first nearly successful full party wipe, 3 of us switched to whm just to keep our tank going. When we saw their puller coming with half the wolf camp on our already pulled mobs, we switched to non aoe and watched him die once and then die when he got back to his PT. He was seen later in the front still pulling away with everyone huddled in a group. SE had the nerve to send me a customer satisfaction survey on that call. Hah! "Extremely Dissatisfied" is what they scored based soley on their lack of response. GM sevice in XI was much better.
Got news for you. It's the same support staff for both games.
BTW, you don't get the survey message if you didn't get at least an auto-response in-game. If you're not in game when your call is processed, you should get an email to the email address you signed up with.
Hello Folks,
I wanted to clear up a couple of items I saw posted.
First, the GM staff, for the most part, is not involved in the investigations into the RMTs, that is done by our Special Task Force. If you place a report via the helpdesk system, then we take the names you submit and we forward them to our Special Task Force. Must is the same if you use the reporting feature found at the Support Centers under "Contact". I know it is very frustrating to see these types of customers and we do try to help out as much as we can.
The next point I saw that I wanted to clear up was the posts about Duel/Multi-boxing. This is not a violation as long as you are actually using multiple machines to play. If you are using third party programs to run multiple versions of the game, then that would be a violation.
I will see what I can do about having the GM staff get more involved, but the Special Task Force has their reasons they are the sole department to investigate, so I cannot question their decision.
I will let this thread stay open, as you all have brought up some valid points.
Be well and good luck in your hunts.

Quite obviously you do not have much interaction with in game RMTs. They have only 1 concern and that is to make money. They could care less about you. What you describe is SOP for RMTS. If left unchecked they will monopolize all of the profitable farming areas. FFXI was virtually unfarmable for 3 years before the Special Task Force crack down
I understand what you are saying and the procedures you describe have worked beautifully in FFXI. Unfortunately appearances are everything in a MMO and it appears to most regular players that there is less of an emphasis on enforcement in FFXIV as we see the same groups in the same places day in and day out. I know SE is well aware of the detrimental effects of unchecked RMTs so I am assuming that the improvements to the Special Task Force are a part of the overall upgrade we eagerly await in ARR.
Thank you for the clarification on duel/multi boxing the game. It's a shame that you can't run multiple instances of this game on one PC, i really hope one day this might be possible. I for one would most definatly have 2 running at once if it was possible. I'd rather have 2 single characters I can play at the same time any day over having 8 that I can only play one at a time ( would really help on those downtimes where you cant get party for a 2+ requirement ). Not everyone can afford to run on multiple pc, alot of people don't even have a 2nd or 3rd pc. The only reason I could see people even using multiple pc would be for 1. RMT, or 2. they just got it like that, props to them.. but we all don't :(
GM just stated that it is not "legaly" possible, that we would require a 3rd party program and would be breaking the ToS, I'm talking about a legit way to do it. Like with Eve online.. you got 3 character slots per account.. only 1 can play at a time per account.. but you can run the client again and use as many accounts as you want.. currently if you try to open up multiple instances without 3rd party it just goes to boot screen then closes out..
Mod Jhanaka quote: "This is not a violation as long as you are actually using multiple machines to play. If you are using third party programs to run multiple versions of the game, then that would be a violation."
ughh, whoops.. meant to edit not make another post :\
Well then lol. A whole lotta sandboxers are going to be surprised then. Though honestly I'm not sure SE cares because your IP would be the same for two different running characters - something they could easily detect and stop at that instant.
You have to use third party programs to dual box but those third party programs do not have to modify SE's data to do so. Which I think was why it can break ToS (you cant modify/interact with their code). Otherwise they could say you cant listen to music on another program because it is a third party system that goes over the sound of SE lol.
Maybe I am wrong though XD
I don't know, all I know is it won't let me do it on it's own and I will not try to attempt at using another program to run multiple instances unless it is an officially sanctioned one from SE. What I really hope for is to one day not require a 3rd party program and it let us boot up as many instances of the client we wish to have. While of course only being able to play 1 character per account.
I'm not going to lie... I wouldn't mind that as my sig.
Lol, my character's face goes with that quote XD.
I assume in 2.0 griefing* will be considered more seriously - I remember in FFXI I was shouting for the level 30 dragon fight and someone reported me for spamming. GM summoned me into GM jail and told me to wait till someone else shouts before shouting myself. (I shouted every 2 minutes, but since no one else shouted it was just my name in the chat log lol)
* Unfortunately what griefing is, is pretty vauge. Seen people try to report others because they got an item and didnt want to pass it to someones buddy. lol... -_-
