It's gotta be some kind of universal law that every thread on this topic ends up at "why won't Square Enix protect me from the gays?" at some point in its lifespan.

Given that players are utilizing a system that SE put into the game for player expression, I find it very unlikely they would implement something that negates that system.

Generally with these types it's fine if they dress skankily but god forbid the gays do!

That said I don't think that much of the of the gear can be turned off because it sadly is in keeping with later instances.
What I'am sick and tired of though is seeing those stupid animal costumes in instances.
Those were never part of the game and we're also always supposed to be a bit of silly nonsense.

What is needed is, for gear to have a flag, must be exclusive for use by devs (or we the same problems as mare) that signals a glam is a 'silly business' glam.
* Silly business glam pieces are then not displayed in 'Duty finder random party instances'. They are valid only for full or unlimited parties.

Or if you wanted to be really sophisticated CB3 , you could have contextualised glam plates, that switch or apply themselves depending upon the setting.

Well yes because you want a toggle that goes against the intent of the glamour system. If was intended to just be personal, then SE would have made it personal. But they allow players to present the appearance to the world that they want to present. It goes against the design to turn off someone else's glamour just because it isn't your personal taste.

I don't dress like that. I'm not going to deny others the opportunity to express themselves to the world in the way they see fit using the tool that SE gave them to do so. And we shouldn't be asking SE to provide that. If someone wants that, they can mod it away.

OP must freak out severely every time the MSQ sends them to "immerison-breaking" Solution 9. They also prolly immediately leave duties like Vanguard, Origenics and Interphos.

Yes, this game is called Final Fantasy, and that certainly doesn't refer to the complete sexualization of a pixel character. So why not just play Second Life?

A glamour toggle wouldn't hurt anyone, no one would notice. You would see yourself normally, as always, and anyone using the toggle wouldn't see your glamour.
What disadvantage would that have for you? If you use mods, no one else would see your dirty changes to your character or clothing except you and those using the same mod.
Why isn't there a huge wave of outrage? The answer is simple... BECAUSE NO ONE SEES IT BUT YOU, THE MOD USERS!
If Yoshi P. allows mods, then he should also allow a glamour toggle and implement it in the game. You can't just cater to one group and not to another.

Yes, because I'm not insecure about myself and if my partner feels good dressing like that, I'm not going to argue about it. Mostly because they are their own person and can make their own choices, it's not up to me to forbid them to dress whatever way they feel comfortable.
