Job Quests NEED to be Mandatory.

It's not about hoarding, if it was about hoarding then this whole thing wouldn't even matter- all the ward owning sub milkers just bot it from the start

The only ‘fix’ I could think of is to limit ‘basic classes’ participation to full premades. Anything beyond lv35 without full premades should automatically prevents queueing.

They’ve done this on PvP queues. Although funnily enough you can still switch to basic classes inside Frontlines after commencing the duty lol.

This way you can still play goofily (for whatever reason in your paper) with friends.

I was once running level 90 raids with my FC using Duty Finder, and during one run we got a sprout Bard. Without fail, they would use LB1 every time it was available. After the second time we told them 'hey, it's better to save LB to level 3 in raids, because it does exponentially more damage at higher levels and healers can use LB3 to rez everybody in case of emergencies'

They responded by saying 'but I can usually use LB1 four times in a raid, wouldn't that be better?' We explained that a single LB3 does more damage than three LB1s, and they responded by never speaking in chat again... and continuing to waste LB1s.

Some people don't take advice. The rest of us shouldn't be dragged down by them.

LBs are a different story, but making it so you can't use the Duty Finder to queue into 50+ content without job stones seems like a very fair solution.

You want to do stupid class only runs? Good for you, queue by yourself, with friends, or use PF.
You're entirely ignorant of job quests? Hard sell, considering you haven't missed the 'Current Main Scenario Quest' hud element up to this point, and it very nicely shows your job quests literally on top of it.

This made me remember...I had a 7/8 premade in Orbonne of people without job stones, it wasn't the 'oh guise sorry we forgor'. No thanks. That's just griefing...

See that's the wonderful thing, I don't need to. You already did it yourself. By your own admission you've done this multiple times. You and your friends essentially own multiple plots for your own benefit, when people have complained about the lack of housing for years. You are claiming multiples of something that is already in limited supply, sorry but your motivations don't make you better than the sub milkers. You are still hoarding housing even if you aren't doing so intentionally.

I see what you're doing, arguing in bad faith and spinning a malicious agenda which is the complete opposite of reality
Everyone has an fc they live in, and we're allowed to decorate inside it. We congregate on one friends fc if they are hosting on an entire server

Do you? Do you really? Because it seems you continue to miss the point, the point being that your actions could possibly have a negative impact. But by your own logic you cannot possibly negatively impact others because you didn't mean to. You don't like the idea of a system because it would get in your way. Your intent may not be malicious but it sure does give it.

We play together, we build in our own free companies together. You don't see us
We don't mass-own wards. We stay in our own little place

There is no system to remove, there is nothing to improve. This is an added system. You understand full well that there are people who will not listen, there are other people here than you and your friends. You are not losing anything. Your world will not end because the game is expecting you to do your job quests. Your intent is coming across as malicious because you care little about people other than yourselves. We're past the point of housing, we are talking about people who have the exact mindset as you who do not care about the negative impact they are leaving on others. And by your own words you understand this, what you don't seem to grasp is that no amount of "education" will stop people doing the exact same thing.

So tell me once more, why does it matter so much? Why does the game expecting you to be better take away so much from you?

And the comment I literally replied to is you suggesting to educate people not to remove the system. The idea that “we wouldn’t have this problem if you got non job stone users and simply explained to them why it’s wrong”. That idea is literally in your reply; educate don’t coddle by deleting the system

Because you won't ever meet me in a roulette. And if you met someone in a roulette who genuinely is not using their job stone for a purpose, it's on them to play hard and make up the difference
The job doesn't make the player, you are just as likely to get a bard who is afking spamming heavy shot and playing lethargically. It is not always malicious
When you meet someone who truly didn't know about their job stone, that's a one time thing and a positive MMO interaction they can benefit from

I lose time and effort forever. It's not expecting anything better from me. I gain nothing from watching Leih Aliapoh argue with Silvairre for the 50th time at buscarrons druthers for the archer questline for a "power boost" that does not apply to this emergent gameplay. As the game has supported for over a decade now.

Edit: In any case, I just wanted to say that a complete removal of the option by making the job stone mandatory does come with some drawbacks
I don't need to have convinced you, but let it be known that there are a subset of players who benefit from this a lot
The removal of choice will hurt the people who play within the rules of the game and don't resort to botting. The choice is yours to use responsibly

I will continue to advocate for improvements rather than removals. Make the level 30 job quest give a massive exp boost, attach a nice exp bonus accessory reward to it- find ways to make it so appealing that everyone can benefit from something nice

You wouldn't have it even if you did your job quest. The dungeon is below the level where it unlocks. If your issue is that Dzemael is 44, that's just the result of the ARR design past the first three dungeons of trying to have an available dungeon every 3 or at max 4 levels. The lower ones were 4 apart and as you went up the higher ones were 3 apart.

Also, what's your actual request? You said in the subject job quests should be mandatory and talk about stones in your OP, but you don't give the conditions. Job stones/quests should be mandatory when doing what? Queueing for specific roulettes? Which ones?
