Thank you so much for the advice I really appreciate it

The game def need to reward player with more xp. in GW2 and WoW, you can easily reach level cap whitin like 1-3 days whitout tryharding or using the most efficient mechanic. In here if you don't do the fastest content (roullete) you're just slowed even more down.
I only focus on 5 jobs for each expansion for their role quest story. :)
Tank/Healer/Melee/Magic Range/Physical Range.
If that expansion is really really boring I will only max the first 3 jobs. Currently on my 5th job melee dps for DT.
Honestly, road to 90 should just apply to anyone who visits a new/preferred world. It would get established players to server travel off congested worlds when they want EXP.
People think it takes 4 months for the devs of the second biggest MMO on the market and the companies cash cow to push out 2 hours of story and an alliance raid
The 7.1 content release will be a joke. They need to up the amount of content they release, it’s beyond a joke at this point
Everyone is aware that players consume content faster than it takes for others to create it.
But Square Enix is a big company, and FFXIV is very much their only load bearer at this point. It would be smart to invest into more teams that work independently to make more content available each patch than ever before, I believe.
I don't know GW2 very well (I tried it out for a few weeks, wasn't terribly impressed, haven't touched it since), but in WoW, the endgame is the main focus and leveling is just the time sink to get to it. In FFXIV, the story is the main focus, so leveling faster doesn't really matter much unless you also buy a story skip, because the story is gonna gate the content anyway.
It's been less than 2 months. Leveling isn't "slow" just because you haven't finished something that is supposed to take up your time for the next two years. You can do savage, treasure maps, hunting, rare fates, crafting and gathering, side quests, sightseeing, jumping puzzles and bicolor farming when you get bored of leveling dungeons. It's ok to save some leveling for when they release the new large scale content or deep dungeon. It's not like people play 21 jobs regularly, so they don't all need to be capped ASAP.
I have whiplash from this topic going from 'leveling is pain' to 'make the hardest content in the game a viable leveling option'.
The story is the main focus but it not like we get to experience it and get msq exp with more than like, 2 classes at best for each xpac. I don't mind leveling like, 2 classes with the story, since the MSQ xp is fine and make you progress, well, with the story. But when it time to level the like, 16 others classes in the game you basicly just have dailies and after that the xp gain is painfully slow.
why do you have to level all the jobs right away? The next expansion comes out in two years.
It'll be much quicker once the new field operation is released
Someone else already went over the different ways to quickly level, so I won't go into too much depth there
Running Aglaia nonstop though is very tedious, but I've only done that a handful of times
They don't conflict.
Players that don't do ultimate won't be incentivized, but this does not detract from how broken a levelling method it would be for those that do the content and have learned that content, as you would effectively be giving people 10 levels worth of level-relevant exp for those that engage in that specific content. I am not averse to ultimates granting exp, just the rate of EXP that OP proposes.
My only issue is I really don't want to spam roulettes anymore, and that's kinda the easiest way. It's just that after 11 years, I just don't want to anymore.
It's not as bad in EW. In EW, it felt like getting to 85 was a chore. After that was much easier, but getting past 85 made me want to stop doing it a few times. But I haven't had any issues from 90 to 100 besides general boredom and the woes of leveling up in synced combat, so your class never changes. But that's more an issue with the game in general rather than a complaint towards the leveling experience.
Frontline gives almost half xp bar, plus the tomes. Not bad for not even 20 minutes a day.
