Why can't FFXIV be more like Starfield

The FF14 approach was to copy the top MMO then never ever make any changes to that formula.

One of the reasons I am glad for streamers is that I can watch them play Starfield, realize the game isn't for me, and save myself some money. I am pretty indifferent on Bethesda stuff as I have only played Skyrim and was kinda meh to the whole thing.

The only reason I'll be playing it is that I can play it for "free" through the Xbox Game Pass for PC. Don't need a console or anything. I've been subscribed for a couple of months now, so this will be a nice way to see what's what. I will probably enjoy it well enough, but the real fun will begin when the modders begin their work in earnest. If it's worth purchasing, I will do so at a later date.

Cryptlurker huh i'll check it out. you get a like for being only response to the other question.

Pandaemonium 1-4 gear looks cool on maiming if you can get the dyable version or work around the base colors, other notable mention is the 87 dungeon gear, and Gaia atire if female character I suppose

Was going to jokingly comment that all of starfields animations look dated and the dialog animations (or should I say the....B tier cutscenes) looks more stilted then what FF14/16 does in a game that's taken years to make with a bigger studio....and more funding lol but hey we shouldn't be petty to the trolls :P

To the OP: You mean that FFXIV should require players to purchase SSD or nVME storage before they can play the game?

Or, maybe, FFXIV should become a Space Exploration single player game?

SSDs are becoming more of a standard nowadays.

Forget Starfield. Why can't FFXIV be more like Fallout 4? Why can't I punch people so hard that they explode and then I take their head and slam dunk it into a toilet? Wait...why are their no toilets SE? I wanna slam dunk a head into a toilet! Fine. I'll use a bucket. Wait...I don't remember ever seeing a bucket either. GEEZ SE can't even make a bucket! Where is my money going huh?

We DO have outhouses in this game, though. So you've got that.

And, honestly, chunking someone's head in an outhouse WOULD be the greater indignity. Have you ever smelled a portapoty? <_<

You and I were both enlisted so of course we have. Plus if anyone has ever gone to a concert they have as well.

Great idea to compare a singleplayer game to a MMO. however ff14 need some juice to be better spot because the game is suffering of becoming a bad game.
