You do realize the people who run the official FFXIV twitter isnt in charge of making in-game content right?

Mainsub will literally upvote and support anything the official twitter releases despite it achieving nothing at all

Mainsub used to actually be halfway decent at a discussion place but now it’s split into 3 subs all of which are their own echo chambers, mainsub just became the “everything in FFXIV is perfect” sun while the other two became the “nothing FFXIV ever does is right” subs

Though just just feels like the Puma commercial they made, weird and out of touch. Who is this really aimed for? I thought aerobics videos were boomer tier content, and this is coming from a boomer, lmao.

Speaking of exercising...I bought one of the ground standing punching bags and for $99 it better last for the rest of the year. I felt like the whole bulky thing weighed 10 pounds. It better not snap off the stand the second I throw one punch.

Then I gotta get back into my calisthenics routine and stretching.

Now now, lets not let common sense stand in the way of another excuse to rage at CBU-III/SE for absolutely anything. I mean, yes the video in the OP is completely harmless, and no-one forced those who are needlessly angry about it to watch it. New players are all they been trying to market to for the last expansion and even they are unsatisfied with the leveling experience/combat experience as they progress.

The marketing team, which is probably responsible for the video, likely is at least when it comes to the NA part of the player base.

It wouldn't surprise me if the video is fairly popular with the JP side. Anyone see any comments about it in the JP forums?

Did you know that theres something called Budget?

Stuff like this comes out of the total budget and they spent it on things like this.

And they are only spending the budget for new players as oppose to retaining players that play the game.

RPers esp the ERPers and their man made content dont count, I don't give a rats ass about them

It's a movie in which a random grade school class are picked to go to an island and kill each other until only one survives. They have to do it in 3 days. Takashi is the teacher of the class that was chosen and he would be doing exercises much like the video shown earlier.

After so much effort to turn XIV into a single-player game (outside of the graphical upgrade, the only ambition they have for this game's next 10 years), it would be odd to invest into another FF MMO.

Is it marketing teams who don't understand the target audience or consumers that don't have a good understanding of the various demographics that are using a product/service and so don't know what the target audience really is.

I think about those I play FFXIV with on a regular basis. A large number are adults with children. Some even have grandchildren. This video is something they can do together that helps to promote healthy habits not just for themselves but their children and grandchildren.

The style of the video may not resonate with everyone but the message should.
