I wish we'd get something more interesting than bra and panties, there's so many styles of swimsuits and yet it's always basic bra and panties. I do like the jacket though.

That's because the 2019 and 2021 events didn't give us any kind of legwear.

The gender locked items would be better if they could use it to make better male glams. The pickings are slim as it is and most female glams opened up to male characters make you lool like a joke character, so unlocking gendered items really only has a one way benefit.

I -would- like those shorts, though.. While I'm not against the bikini bottoms (can always find a use for them. Mix-and-match beach sets.) perhaps make the shorts an extra item? De-link it from gender and make the bikini & shorts two different versions.

Obviously, for females, the option top would need to maybe have some sort of covering. Maybe a chest-wrap of some sort? Something to differentiate it from bikini & top from the Fem. set

Original feminists actually wanted Equality. True equality. In all possible forms. (Pay, sentencing, laws, rights, etc)

Modern Feminists want to reverse it, so instead of society being "male-dominated" (it isn't. But that's a whole can of worms) they want to turn it into "female-dominated" on the premise that men become the "second class gender". (Men getting harsher sentences, lower pay, less rights, etc. You see where this is going.)

The point was that a beach themed event has been real light on bikini parts in the past few years.

I get it. Players that have been here since 2013 have gotten several but thanks to Square's addiction to FOMO many are unobtainable without throwing down RL cash and the older ones are stupidly expensive off the market board. I'm also well aware that it's not to everybody's taste but then neither are the cropped pants.

Making event glamours a zero-sum game is not fair to those of us who had the temerity to not have played since 1.0.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't even read the OP. I just found it odd, because this years event is pretty good, in my opinion. I quite like the outfit and the sandals will be great for a lot of glams (sandals and heels are my preference in this game). It's too bad, but I suppose a lot of people were spoiled on it and have been stewing.

This must be a USA type thinking - this game is made by Japanese people (which I am), and most of Asia and the Middle East and Latin America are pretty staunchly conservative in their views and social norms. So I guess good luck with eradicating or trying to eradicate traditional gender roles in the US, but thank god the rest of the world doesn't need to subscribe to such thoughts. Indeed, for the majority of the world I daresay the conservatives aren't the ones who need to tread lightly and it's a shame if they think they need to in the US. Everyone has a right to think however they like, regardless of idealogy. No one side is ever inherently right or wrong within such a subjective thing.

Various forms of LGBTQ+ identities are growing in acceptance all around the globe. People like you will be an embarrassing footnote in history.

Like I said, I'd wager the great majority of the world are traditional in their gender views, and I doubt non- traditional beliefs will ever overcome these views, especially outside the US or EU countries. As to conservatives or 'people like me' becoming footnotes to what is probably less than 10% of the world population, well - keep dreaming.
