it's ok if you don't want to answer but if I understood correctly you are a woman in love with your male character?
usually it's the opposite, which explains my surprise

I'd rather live on Doma, but i'll settle with Ishgard, I need cold please.
If I weren't married and didn't want to leave my wife, I absolutely would if it weren't for the immortal thing. I want to die a natural death when my time comes. That being said, I did design my WoL specifically with the idea of being zapped into the game world. Being in Eorzea with all my WOL's resources and having wife, pets, and in-game friends with me is something I mull over often.
The first thing I'd do would be to freak out at what had just happened, teleport to my apartment, and have a good old fashioned mental breakdown.
Check out my old Isekai thread for answers you might find interesting. https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...sekai-Fantasia
So I get to go from a world where I can't afford a house due to government and corporate corruption to a world where I can't get a house due to developer disinterest/incompetence
Tough choice.
Kupo <3 wherever you live baby I'll be there *dote* jk kupo <3 rofl
To be fair, if they're regular old people, I don't see why not..
Now I may have to rethink my choice. As I'll be a Lala.. That could be fun, but that would also mean the threat of getting eaten is *very* real. On the other hand, I get to be a rich person that can kick some shins at very easy angles. The choices!
Could I bring my spouse? Perhaps in the form of one of my alts? If not, then no.
Well some ppl don't have any friends, family and just work to survive then go home to play so video games so for some ppl it will be great

Me getting yeeted into Eorzea like:

The first thing I would do upon getting isekai'd into Eorzea?
Get used to being barely taller than 3 feet.
sure as long as it's not uldah or the brume it be alright
I just got a reminder from a different thread about another thing i'd like do: tell G'raha to get stuffed.
Yes.
Violent world? I’ll adapt.
I already have knowledge of the world so, yay.
I actually have a house and an apartment and 10 mill in the account so financially I’m waaaay better off.
So yeah, easy choice. First thing I would do? Go to Tartaru and sign up with the not scions. The fact I know so much will get attention and as for my back story? From another shard, I’m lost, halp. Not too unbelievable all things considering.
As a new character? Yes but I’ll be training from the get go and doing leve’s and adventurer guild quests. Gotta level up.
That's the one problem with the No Necroing sentiment; we end up with numerous posts on the same topic as old ones get moved farther and farther back. I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering what you asked. :)
When I made my alt I specifically designed her to be the character/body my wife would incarnate in should the Great Isekai happen. It's a good thing she likes tall, muscular, women with a large bust! Seriously though, if she were able to come with me and incarnate as that alt, the idea would be extremely tempting....because she would be extremely tempting. :D
I'd become my character in a heartbeat! I'm close to retirement and becoming an immortal attractive Elezen with oodles of gil and the knowledge to make more than enough to live on while having the run of an estate and an apartment too and never worrying about income tax certainly appeals!
First thing I would do is move to Ul'dah, be sure to join the Scions so I get to cover myself in some good thick plot armor and then go run around and do whatever I want, as my plot armor will protect me from death, maiming, imprisonment or any disease, curse or hex.
Then I would pitch both Alphi and Graha off the cliffs of the Invisible City, tell Ishtola to get &%#$*^@, go back to Elpis and tell the Convocation everything Venat and Hermes are about to do so they can deal with them and pluck Meteon before they do it and then, if our world still exists due to timeline splits, marry into the Hildebrand fortune so I can start a lalafell/sylph mulch mix service for the new Island Sanctuary. Bank and live happily ever after.
If the world then doesn't exist, well I will still be a member of the convocation and have a pretty sweet life as an Ascian so win/win
Okay but I also get to have army ant strength, jump high enough to leap over Roes, and be at the perfect height to violate Geneva Conventions against people's knees.

Considering that the chances of you finding less Echo-empowered NPCs than players, and how stack markers exist, fighting primals is going to be a problematic encounter for anyone but you if you're a WoL or not the WoL but gained access to the Echo by inhabiting your character's body. Even the WoL needs Echo-empowered friends to run the duty instances, so eh... if you take over your character's body, then you will directly have to be involved with the fight. You and the WoL alone for pretty much the vast majority of the content without Scion Trust mode, which can be a problem if you're level synced. You don't really get a LB3, much less a LB1.
If I had to be a healer and cast 1 single attack spell for 90 levels? Horrendous.
If I had to wait until 80+ levels to be able to make simple recipes such as pizza and smoked chicken on my own.... that sounds bloody awful.
Don't get me wrong, adventure is great. But there's a lot of downsides to all of this. Especially once the WoL gets Azem's crystal. He's going to be yeeting us to fight Endsinger and all that nonsense every expansion. Retirement doesn't exist.
Finally, even if we never die, it means you'll just watch people you like and grown close to pass away either through combat, old age, or diseases. Immortality can be both a blessing and a curse for those who are not strong enough to wield it. The average player will start secluding and isolating themselves from the world if they can't deal with parting. Heck, it wouldn't be surprising if the denizens descendants eventually wanted to capture you for the secrets to immortality after many years of peace since our immortality is very unique (sundered, yet not mortal).
Most importantly, it's not known whether the WoL will attain immortality. That means the WoL will pass his responsibilities onto us to watch over the world and maintain peace in his and the Ancient's absence. Kind of a big deal in a way. I'm pretty sure Norvrandt will do just fine though.
Honestly, it would be more strange if we didn't end up trying to traverse through space and time to either go back to the Ancient timeline (since they're immortal beings who can live indefinitely) or go discover the secrets of the Rift to cross back to our world.
To believe in Eorzea is to believe in NOTHING
If it's permanent then no. You're the only sentient living human being. You're going insane long term.
If there's other people around then yeah sure, i would. The first thing i would do is to try to hook up with cute Au ra's.
No I would not. First I would lose all the friends and family I have here while being completely alone in the new world.
I also would not stand a chance, even if I was the WoL because I would not be able to shoulder all these burdens.
(And I would miss internet and other technological things)
If we get an overlord type situation where the NPC's became sentient and it's a living, breathing world and we still have access to our level of in game power (but we are no longer the WOL) my answer would be yes.
If you took my RL fat butt and said I'm in that world now probably not unless I'm isekai'd as a keeper girl.
You know ever since i played wow and yes with final fantasy now too i have often said man my toon has the life, i wish i could just be my toon and go around doing a few quests to get gold to live off because man the real world sucks. One downside not sure if i would live too long standing in an aoe field or something, lol.
