In fairness though, this is probably the most active and popular PvP has ever been so far. It is new content for all intents and purposes. I've got my problems with the game currently, and they are plentiful, but the new PvP mode is probably one of the things I feel they've done right. It's just extremely unbalanced.Quote:

I think increased success has shown that the game is getting worse, and the content and resources are being spread out more, with more of a focus on large group and tuned down content.

Toto needed it(that layout was really wonky and the whole slowing section...) and that one came out ok, but Castrum for example feels really weird now. It's another boring corridor dungeon. Boss fights have mechanics which is nice but they seem a bit on the spongey side. It's nice that the MSQ stuff takes less time, but it feels like they went way overboard cutting stuff out. Like the robo-chick at the end...if any significant time had passed since the last quest with her in it, you likely would have no clue who she was since they cut most of her dialogue, and the entire scene with the robot. Similar thing with prae...they cut out the whole scene where the robot you use is the one from an earlier quest where it recognizes you and everything. It was charming, and now it's just gone. They should have left the cutscenes and just made them skippable so people could run them with trusts or something if they wanted to see that content.Quote:

Nothing you said about the graphical update either changes the fact that it is a new update incoming that is supposed to completely update the whole game.
Just because it doesn't go far enough and reworks the whole engine and replaces the skeletons doesn't change what I said. -

If FFXIV was just some money bank for other projects then it doesn't make sense they'd invest into something like that while at the same time pushing out other new content and revamps.

So yes that's more new content that is also coming in a patch, just because it has taken a long time doesn't make it not new content if anyone wants to start arguing pointlessly about that. -

Just because there is less of the content you personally like doesn't mean there is less content overall. A lot of people were dismissing the firmament and ocean fishing in Shadowbringers but it was popular content. You would see the huge crowds doing the firmament events and everyone showing off their shark mounts. You can't dismiss the amount of well-designed bosses in Bozja, Zadnor, the 3 raids and a 48-person savage raid.

People need to calm down and stop mocking people for wanting that wave of new content to be put on hold. Because we already have A LOT in the game as it is. And SE's own policy which people glorify is that "If you want to take a break and play something else, do so, come back when you feel like it". So if you think you're burned out and have nothing new, then wait for them to fix what they did implement and come back when there's a better stream of content.
