And no, I was not referring to dedicated and highly coordinated groups. I was referring to all sorts of parties. SGE/ SCH is extremely strong in PUGs aswell and easy enough to handle - unless both healers stomp their foot, cross their arms and demand to be THE undisputed GCD shield healer king/ queen for the party.

I think the last time I ever done SCH+SCH in any new endgame content was Susano EX on day 3 of Stormblood. There just wasn't enough people who made it to level 70 yet because of a certain congestion problem in the story. Of course it certainly took some extra work, my co-SCH was a good player though.

I'm glad you mentioned this. When I heal on SGE I rarely use EDiag or EProg on boss fights at all. I use the big shields like Haima/Panhaima, Taurochole, my AOE heals and regens like Physis and Kerachole. I spend probably 90% of my time DPSing since that acts as a regen. And usually that's more than enough. I hardly ever use the Eukrasian spells. I use those on trash pulls. Mostly for Addersting.

Quick caveat: I'm talking about normal content and not high end content. Not sure what it's like for savage or extreme stuff.

It's almost as if they want every SCH to reroll SGE.

The content that would pair two shield healers together doesn't require shields in the first place. So worst-case scenario you overwrite someone's shields and it's not a big deal. Doubt they'll ever bother to fix that. This is how shields have worked since HW.
