This isn't about me it's about the 20-48 people who are doing the CE and come out missing like 3 or 4 FATE mettles every time.
If I recall-- most of the fates in Zadnor can use the DEATH spell on pretty much anything FATE wise
They chose to join that CE, which offers around 3 Fates worth of exp upon completion. Life goes on, as does the grind. There were fates before the CE, there are fates after, and there will be fates for the foreseeable future. They don't suddenly stop spawning. The exp will be available after the CE is completed. Is this really a hill you want to die on?
Is it really, though?
Let’s say you -really- want some sort of skirmish train ala Eureka’s NM trains, how do you herd up to 71 players, then?
Each skirmishes has 20m of time limit. Fairly long, yes. Yet they spawn somewhat randomly and at much higher frequency—a few of them will also spawn only after a specific skirmish is cleared—how do you create a route encompasses all three zones for this, then? Pretty soon you’ll lose track.
Not to mention that you -will- wait for the straddlers as well. Three minutes travel time? That wasn’t enough for Eureka & I doubt it will be too over here, but let’s go with 3 minutes PLUS travel time from one skirmish to another.
Oh hey, wait! There’s a CE popping! Alright! Nobody clears on-going skirmishes for the next 7-10 minutes!!
Yeah, no. At that point you will inevitably make 40+ player miss potential mettle gains that otherwise could be rightfully theirs. No thanks.
/shrug
I believe the Devs have pre-tuned the encounters for minimal players from the start so they do not have to nerf them later. It’s a way to save time so they can focus on EW.
Same answer for any new feature like this for the last 10 years of this game: week 1-2 are super busy.
Groundbreaking, I know.
Or there will be more Fates, meaning players aren't missing anything. Again, they don't suddenly stop spawning just because players are in a CE, meaning those who couldn't get in (or didn't want to) can grind them while the CE is going on. And they will continue to spawn at a rapid fire rate after, meaning no one is missing out. In fact, everyone is getting something. If you don't understand this, however, there is nothing more for any of us to discuss with you.
The reason they are melting is because people are stacking pure dps on there pots/Bozjan action bar. A person kit'd with the 'best' dps rotation can melt a boss fate by themselves in under 10 seconds.
My gut tells me a couple things are happening in this Hotfix.
1. Certain Fates/CE's are being Hotfixed as some CE's have bugs in them, like the Duels.
2. Valor buff is being nerfed
3. Hotfixing the bug with Relic items continuing to drop past having 30 of the required item - (probably fixing the questlines themselves so they track the needed items.)
This is my speculation though, I wish they'd post the list of hotfixes somewhere that we can read. xD
It'd be pretty odd that the valor would be nerfed (considering the next set after the first 3 is 20mil mettle before getting your next set). So they'd most likely have to decrease the XP required, or buff the XP to gain it at a higher rate. Old zones have to give players XP as well (that outweighs their deaths) in terms of XP and return (assuming no raise) in Tier 1 and 2 zones (before Zadnor)
Items dropping past the goal as long as you have the quest is not a bug, it's how it always works, nothing wrong with it.
I really hope Valor won't be nerfed, cause while it may be a problem in Zadnor, it's still only barely enough to make DR runs slightly more tolerable and not taking 1h for a single artifact. Since they didn't even bother to make that ugly step any easier, at least we need valor to make runs a bit faster.
Are you trying to go from one sector to another? The Basic idea is, chill in the middle of your sector and run from 1 fate to another.
There are 2 outcomes when it comes to fates, 1 Fate will pop per sector that is not linked to a C/E, these will generally pop within a minute of each other.
If there is a 2nd Fate in your area it is there because enough Legion mobs are killed and it will cause a C/E to spawn shortly after.
The Difficulty of Fates is based on the amount of players in the sector at the given time it spawns. So if there are 5 ppl north 10 in middle and 30 south, when one pops and all go north for a certain fate for some reason, the difficulty will be scaled for 5 but there will be 45 ... which yea, it gets wonky. This is why you sometimes have the odd "this one is melting" fate, its because noone is in your sector or alternatively you had 50 ppl in your sector and suddenly 30 of them jump into a C/E and your left with a super over tuned fate
If you think you can constantly run between sectors to get every single fate on the field, your just not doing what you should, stay in the sector and spam that fate, do not run constantly to the other ones as you will miss them.
Dmg is fine, considering Flare star has seen no adjustment before Zadnor its super unlikely anything will be nerfed, the amount of ppl who will go balls to walls with stacking buffs and actions does not outweigh the players who use no actions and no essence and then play dead in the C/E till its almost done so its still gonna middle itself out.
God no. The simple solution is to join a group I found that partying up it greatly increases your chances of NOT getting silver medals. And like someone else said the fates respawn so fast it's not to much of an issue. My biggest fret is that CE's don't spawn enough because of the silly hidden requirement
If you pull 2-5 Robots into the fate (only do this if you have a team) you will gain clusters as well as spawning the C/E's, the Legion Robots will simply be drowned in the aoe fire.
This does not work well on "collect item" fates or single boss fate however, as players will be way less likely to AoE
From what i've seen each Robot is lined up to a certain C/E, for sample killing the lv1 Death Mashines in sector 2 will spawn the wolf C/E which is linked to the duel. Drag some of those boys in along or mix and match and you will constantly see C/Es
(please do not overpull and kill the party, if you can only drag 1 extra at the time its still better then fully ignoring them but if you kill players ... not worth it)
