The addons will be great! Sometimes the company can't do or think of everything, that's when community made addons come into play and make the experience a lot better. Some of these addons are adopted by the company and become real in-game feautres.

Err- Just to point out, originally you didn't have your loot list forcibly thrown into inventory and/or discarded when you left a dungeon. However, with the advent of CC and AV there was a bug that arose with certain items simply straight out vanishing out of the loot list when you left, and this is the only fix they have.
Supposedly, 2.0 will not suffer from this retartedness.
I laughed, you really think the casual's would stick around if that happened to them.
Oni you can see the bags in the lower right corner of the 2.0 screen, the items are colour coded to display what they are.
2.0 Image
It also gives a good reference to see how full your inventory is, something which we are lacking at the moment.
Edit:- My mistake its 6 bags, the one to the left is the currently equipped armour.
If you ask Elexia, Dragon and Molly_Millions, we don't need casuals. We need forced grouping, extreamly hard, time consuming and bland content in order to make this game a success. Hell we don't even need to attract any new players. As per them S-E will be rolling cash just with the XI fan base, which are already paying S-E btw.....

I like the color coding part.
He said something about addons sorting your inventory, you said he should do it himself instead and i said you are restarted cuz the whole point of addons is having them do some stuff for you or make it easier/better. Then you go an quote a feature of XI regarding them keeping item for you, while we were talking about ADDONS.
Who's the idiot now?
Lol every single time you open your mouth i ridicule you, yet you still try... pathetic.
add ons are fine, and yes they are meant to make things easier to an extent
but at the point where it starts doing everything for oyu is when it crosses a line
not saying thats what this is, but some people here dont even seem to want to play the game at all they want it played for them for convenience
See this is where you inexperience of playing other games comes into question.
Most other games you click a dead monster and loot what you want and leave what you don't.
In this game you have no choice in the matter, you kill something and your inv gets filled up with crap, now I have to spend 4-5 minutes scanning over my inventory for random trash drops that I want to either sell or drop and lets be honest the process is not very user friendly.
It's why they are changing the UI in 2.0 adding bags and drag and drop which I have already mentioned.
I think the actual visual of seeing how full your inventory is a much needed one (I'm sure you will disagree though)
there is a VERY simple solution to this though
dont go out in the field when you know you will be wanting drops unless you have your inventory sorted to make sure you wont lose stuff
if you are going out farming with 190/200 thats your fault, not the games
if you go into a dungeon with 199/200, again your fault
Sorry, not inexperienced. I just know the difference between needing a plugin that does something for me when I can already do something myself. For example Windower for FFXI added the ability to sort your inventory automatically, something SE added much much later.
That's when you want a plugin for something, they're designed to give functionality to a game that natively lacks it.
In this game, you go into your loot list and take/discard what you don't want. The sole purpose of this is for the very reason some people have full inventories and it gives you ample time (unless you zone out) to get your inventory together. It's essentially the same thing.Quote:

Talking in the mirror again? The only math class I ever failed was Intermediate Algebra, and even that was due to attendance.
Funny, because I'm a transhumanist singularitarian.Quote:
Yes, make thing more convenient is not smart, pple like you are holding back human evolution.
I don't care what those who aren't willing to stick around when the next great WoW clone comes around want.
Strawman arguments.
1. We're not necessarily for forced grouping.
2. We're not necessarily for extremely hard or time-consuming content.
3. Not everything you support is entertaining.
But hey, we do want to attract the kinda player that likes sticking around at the end of the day, because we understand casual players are nothing more than flakes at the end of the day.
My inventory can become full just from doing 8 leves.
I agree, I personally always check when loot drops in a dungeon, but not everyone will remember to do so or remember to empty their inventory before going into a dungeon.Quote:

The thing is that you are looking at this back to front.
If we weren't forced to pick up every insignificant item then we wouldn't need to check our inventory so often.
I'm pretty sure that if this game had been developer with Yoshi from the start we would be looking at dead monsters that required looting.
as long as it doesnt play the game for you, yes
how an add on will "manage" your inventory for you can be pretty shady
about the only thing an add on can do that may not be illegal would be give you a warning
anything else borders on botting and illegal use of programs(if it plays for you that is, considering thats what everything else would classify as at that point)
if your out doing leves chances are the drops are not your primary concern anyway...
i know how that goes i do them still too
and in the end, "those who dont remember to do so" can NOT blame the game, they did not remember, the game didnt prevent them from doing it, they did it
thats what alot of this comes down to
thats like saying its the games fault that you missed a behest cuz you were in the bathroom for a minute too long because you didnt remember to join behest before you went
edit: also in regards to leves, we have vendors at pretty much all camps now for that specific reason you know
I think I see where the disconnect is, due to the interface lag people simply never bothered with the lootlist function lol, it pretty much does what a plugin would do the only difference is it won't be automated (not even Blizzard allows all automation plugins.)
As am I, I discard food ingredients as I'm not a cook, I discard ores I no longer need to skill up and so on. It saves me a ton of space lol. I guarantee most people are full on random crafting/gathering materials and not gear because there's no gear swap in this game during battle so unless you know you'll be on a mage job which actually can benefit from gear swap, very unlikely to be maxed out in inv space with a lot of useful stuff.
mmhmmm....
Yea and if you weren't forced to pick them up to begin with you wouldn't be required to micromanage your inventory so much.
We all throw away useless items or NPC them there is no other option unless you want to sit around with 200/200. /derp
There is a simple solution: sort and manage your inventory before you do anything that puts items in your inventory. Seriously, it's like you guys in support of the OP have never played an RPG before.
