Why do Viera and Hrothgar Pay the Same for Less?

To be fair, the point of the thread isn't about glasses, and it's understandable that people get annoyed with what you posted, even if I don't agree with the response.

Anything that wasn't flat out praising SE pretty much amounted to the forum equivalent of "Well both sides have good arguments so let's find a middle ground."

That being said I don't think you're a shill, I just don't think you should post an overly positive but also inoffensive opinion in a discussion thread and not expect at least a few people to get miffed by it

I'm not "excluded" from the glamor set because I can't wear the hat I was able to buy it just fine, and wear all of it just fine. (even the hat, though I simply can't see it) At no point did the store deny my purchase because I'm a Viera, at no point did the game deny me equipping or glamouring the set due to being one of the "limited" races.

You're also correct it is likely zero chance they'll go back and add hats for all the old pieces, because that's exactly what they said. They said no to hats, then said some at some point, well we've gotten some, three or so glamor items back I was able to wear the mog station hat, I thought "Oh, that's nice." As I was told to expect not to be able to wear many if any and so if one pops up it's nice even if I won't use it.

It's fine to want or wish they could wear all past and future headgear, but people need to stop pretending they didn't make it clear what to expect and what we'd get. Which is why it doesn't bother me, I was told up front before I became a Viera what I was and wasn't getting, I went in knowing that and decided it was worth it to me, technically I actually got more than I thought as initially it was none when I agreed to make the swap.

That's a perfectly reasonable opinion to have, but at the same time if you start accepting mediocrity from a company selling you a product and you continue to buy it despite said mediocrity, what kind of message do you think it sends to the seller?

They're pretty much blatantly telling you that what you're getting is incomplete and there's no plans to fix it, and accepting it without a fight or complaint tells them that they can continue to make things that are incomplete and mediocre and they can get away with it because people will buy it regardless.

Other than claiming I should be unhappy when I am not, we agree. As I said I've no issue with people wanting more or asking for more, that is perfectly fine and people should do that, I'll happily agree with anyone who says they wish/would like all hats to work. However I was told what I would get and got exactly that, people are free to not buy the glamour sets if the hat not working is not acceptable to them, I'm fine with it and likely wouldn't have used it anyway so it makes no difference to me.

Nah, I'm not upset. More baffled as to how people can't see how they are eroding the industry and how indoctrinated they are. Thank you Mr. SE for making me think I'm not being fleeced as hard. lol You really don't see where that kind of thinking of yours lead? Yeah, I'm more baffled.

Im happy I can wear glasses too but not happy that if I wanna wear the RDM 80 hat(withered one, the other one is ugly as sin) I'll have to change races..

Because they are "limited", they don't get hats. Why would they bother? They stated they wouldn't receive any hats, and meant it.

Makes no sense to get miffed at me for being happy that I can wear glasses on my Hrothgar. Regardless of "The Point" of the thread, its childish to call me a Shill for it; claiming Im defending the company. I've made peace with it, honestly. Now I'm banging pots and pans for more Viera specific customization that was promised to us. I think about all those metal headdresses from XII and feel yearning. I don't know what they could do to compensate for Hrothgar, but I'd be happier with no hats if we had a wide selection of Viera specific headdress. The Fran hair is a step, but we really need more.

I haven't, so I can't stick to them. I HATE not having access to hats even if I barely use them. I can't even preview them in-game on a viera, it's frustrating. I fell in the fantasia trap recently with viera. They just made them look too good, despite their limitations!

Viera definitely need more hairs. I am hoping we see some during the reveals. It's been a long time coming. If they can't have hats, they really should have a wide (and nice) selection of hairstyles to choose from. Now hrothgar, yeah, short of a redesign, nothing they do would actually "fix" any of the issues.

More hairstyles please...especially since they showed off Hrothgar being shown wearing their own racial hairstyles with different faces!

I was talking about consumerism in the video game industry which SE is a part of.

I'm also not buying a car that only has three wheels, even if the manufacturer says that the employees worked their butt off to attach the third one in time. That just lowers quality over time and there are countless examples of that in gaming alone. lol

I think it's perfectly reasonable to be both okay with what we have, but also desire more. One does not invalidate the other, and you don't need to be feeling unhinged outrage to request more features.
